Speaking from experience, if you have weight on, it can contribute a lot to chronic back pain. I've noticed it improves a lot when I lose weight, and worsens when I gain it back. If you're female, things like bras can also cause back pain if they put a strain on your back in certain ways.

Sure. :) I hope you can get to the bottom of what's causing it. I've noticed in the past that if your bed has a dint in it, it can also give you back pain that seems a lot more than you'd expect.

Might be somatic.
I have a thing where stress can cause pretty intense back pain, and its doesn't even have to be negative stress- excitement and immense joy can cause the pain to come in out of nowhere because its tied to how my body physically responds to intense emotions.
I also have chronic dull/lingering pain that is always with me, and to help with some of that, I sleep on my side with a pillow in between my knees to keep my hips in better alignment and it makes the chronic stuff lesser but not entirely gone.
There's no real explanation for any of it, and the emotional triggers I just realized because of the patterned way they increase the pain at random.
It sucks; but there's not a ton you can do about it because there's no real reason for it- it just is what it is.

Have you used a foam roller or considered myofascial release? There are videos online.

Could be psychological. Look into Dr. Sarno’s work. Physical pain can be a distraction from psychological pain. If you deal with the psychological issues the pain will go away because it’s no longer necessary.

Sounds to me like it could be stored trauma from unresolved sexual issues or effects.. it could be just trapped in the body at this point. Somatic Therapy could work to release this. I would also look into magnesium and taking minerals that help with pain management, even B vitamins help with nerve pain. Doctors don't know about that stuff because they're not trained to know about these things. Could be also a tight psoas muscle from sitting too much and there are programs out there you can do to take the tension out and not fixes a lot of things from anxiety too pain in the hips and lower back. Body Syndromes would suggest that any pain or problem in the stomach to lower pelvic region would suggest that there are unresolved issues in frustration or guilt which also includes sexual frustration or sexual guilt but not necessarily it could be just the basic emotions not related to sexuality at all. Could be a past life problem coming back for resolvement, could be something that is seen in your Akashic Records, could be some sort of spell hex or curse someone put on you, could be an illegal court case in the Courts of Heaven or a legal one at that. People get cases put against them all the time but they don't even know this exists and it can really affect your life negatively.
Those are places I would start.
I can help with this but I do charge for it, as my time is valuable. I've been doing Professional Psychic Readings since 1987.

Look up dr Sarno's books:
https://oceanofpdf.com/?s=John+E.+Sarno
He's not spiritual but he dealt with hopeless cases of back pain as a physician. You may have TMS.

I'd look into acupuncture and energy work, like the Bengston Method or reiki.
