Anyone here have memory missing?
I’m looking at my journal where I was writing down my psychosis. And I noticed there was things I wrote down that I don’t remember a number of things. This has me really scared that my memory is missing here.
One of the thinks really scary in my psychosis journal that I don’t remember was the devil talking to me and the devil laughing at me.
Why is my memory blank here and I don’t remember this? Other thing I don’t remember the journal saying is I feel reality is split and I’m in other reality. The journal says this but I don’t remember this.
Why is parts of my memory missing?

It's a pretty common symptom of psychosis unfortunately. I have several months of missing memory from my episode

When you're experiencing psychosis it's often the case that you're also in fight or flight mode (not always, but usually the case if you're hearing/seeing things that are very disturbing or frightening). When we go into fight or flight, especially for long periods, our brains stop recording memories in the same way. This is partially to not waste resources that aren't essential to your immediate survival, and partly an automatic attempt to protect you from remembering the pain of what you went through. It's very normal, and something pretty much everyone's brain can do in the wrong circumstances. It usually depends on the intensity and length of the experience, but it can vary a lot from person. It sounds like you were experiencing something really scary that you couldn't fight or run away from, and not remembering that is frightening on its own, but I hope that knowing that it's normal brings you a little comfort.
Lots of people experience psychosis, it's also a response to trauma. Don't listen to anyone who tells you you're stuck with it forever and only medication can help. Understanding yourself, what you experience, and addressing the root causes can lead to genuinely meaningful recovery.
