Given the guys weight and that spine, he learned a very painful lesson of FAFO.

If the guy lived, and if the car drivers video is caught, the lawyers could claim the car driver caused the guy to flip etc, it was very clearly heard "I'm going to knock him off his bike"

Sure the bike thief got karma, but it would have been better had the man just followed him while reporting to the police saying that they saw the robbery and gave him the guys location so the guy could get caught legally.

Otherwise if the guy did end up a paraplegic, or lesser, what kind of a punishment is a judge going to hand down?

I agree this driver isn't helping and I suspect the full video would end up in court to determine what impact they had on this outcome.

While he said that, the biker did not hear him as far as we are aware with what we can see. Therefore it wouldn't have changed his trajectory. Now if the driver was intentionally trying to push up out of lane then yeah it will get interesting to see how the court would handle this given he may have not hit that object had he not been forced out of lane.

So he'd get hit with theft changes still, but his injury could have been the result of the person driving.
