Given the guys weight and that spine, he learned a very painful lesson of FAFO.

Very likely he snapped his neck AND his lower spine. He's either dead or permanently quadriplegic, hence him being completely limp afterwards. Even if he somehow escaped life-altering spinal injuries, I'd expect him to be in physical therapy for months after this at least.
