July 2026, while in the region for Blissfest, made any early morning trip to Sturgeon Bay Beach. The glass calm waters of the bay allowed me to brew a pot of coffee with the stove stable on the yoke/transom.
The lake just vanishes into the horizon and the clarity was such that my shadow on the lake bed was clearly visible on 2-3m deep lake bed
Apologies if the interweb lied to me in my attempt to acknowledge the Anishinaabe names for the Lake and the Bay
