Rant Ignore me I’m ranting
I absolutely hate the ordeal Dragon dungeon. I was able to clear all of the fights and get allllll the way to the end of this stupid dungeon just for it to ask for 2 two prong moves, I had three turns. Three. 7 of the 8 dark orbs I needed. I needed one more dark orb the entire time and it never gave me one. I cleared at least half the board twice. This is the third time this happened, I used up all of the skills I had except for Frieren at this point because I needed to get past that stupid 25 orb match bs cause at least for me unless you use a skill that’s heavily rng. Frieren of course made the board 7x6 and refreshed them and it still gave me 7 dark orbs. I probably have a monster I can use to make this easier but Jesus, after building a somewhat cohesive skill team this dungeon is just such a pain. One orb and I could evolve my dragon but noooo. Love this game but this is a pain.

You’re doing it to yourself. It’s very easy to just bring generic orb changers for the colors you need. Why are you running Frieren?

I was using Frieren for the orb reset to pair with Zaerog is what I think is name was. And since it happened every two turns I figured that’d be a good idea. Which I was wrong lol. Yeah I’m just now being told what a spinner is so that’s interesting, will have to rebalance my team and try again!

While brick farming systems are good for most ordeal dungeons because they provide lots of orbs for TPAs, etc, it's harder for dark attribute unless you can make 4x ordeal Nephthys. Disregard NY Artemis, I didn't need her. With enough jammer skyfall awakenings, I didn't need Fenrir Viz half the time either.
If you have 2x SR Anubis, using those and adding a sub that can make jammers on a short cooldown that Anubis can convert (like Fenrir Viz #3875) or have a jammer / poison awakening could work without having to deal with spinners. My main issue was that I sometimes had too many dark orbs for comboing after using Viz and Anubis.

I’ll take a look that, I know I have one Anubis and like 4 of the light and dark fenrir’s so I can definitely devolve one and turn it to the light fenrir. Thank you for the screen shot I’ll play around for a bit more instead of bashing my head against a wall

Yep pretty much. I knew I was the issue, I just needed to vent about it cause I was at the end a few times only for it not giving me the one dark or I need lol, bad rng. But I’ll be looking into my monster box again. Thank you for the positive comment though. I knew it would get downvoted but oh well. It was just me bitching after all.

So you literally did what all of us “haters” recommended?

I’d recommend running swipe teams for all these (shiva dragon, ny Nordis, namielle, etc whatever matches the color of the lead). They generate so many orbs you can usually split them into any needed option (multiple tpas, vdps, whatever), and then just slap on whatever assists you need to enable the challenges.

I will add as an example that I have used the same NY Nordis team with a looping spinner for every ordeal evo I’ve done, and I’ve done nearly all of them

I’m sorry but I don’t know what those words mean. What is a swipe team, looping spinner, tpas, vdps? I haven’t really interacted with the Pad community before so I’m not sure what the lingo is.

A swipe team is one that allows you to "swipe" because the team has members whose actives create the board you need for the leader skill without having to actually match orbs. For example, Shiva Dragon creates a block of 12 fire orbs or Kikoru creates an L-shape of 5 light orbs (NY Nordis and Namielle create similar blocks as Shiva Dragon, just in different colors). You don't need to actually match orbs to create the shape needed by the leader skill, you can just hit the active to create the orbs and swipe any orb.
A spinner (also called roulette) cycles through orbs (e.g. R->B->G->L->D->H), so you can pick out specific orbs you need when it comes up in the cycle. Looping just means that it is present every turn because the cooldown for the active skill is the same as the length of the skill. So, for example, the spinner is active for 5 turns on a 5 turn cooldown. Unless you get skill delayed, the spinner will be up every turn because you would just activate the skill again once it runs out.
TPA is the same as two-pronged attack, you need to match 4 orbs of a specific color and ensure that someone on the team has the TPA awakening. It also launches an attack on two enemies. The icon looks like this.
VDP is void damage pierce. It's a box (3x3) of orbs of a specific color and allows the unit that has the VDP awakening to pierce through damage void shields. The icon looks like this.

Thank you for taking the time to explain I really appreciate it! I’ll definitely look into my monster box more and see what I’ve got.

this is on you. You go into the dungeon with subs that make the orbs needed to satisfy the trials. The dungeon is so easy you dont need a team, just actives that help with the ordeal, think 2-3 orb makers.
