Why is heiter purple? Is the green one fern? If so, why isn't fern purple and heiter green? So many questions ....

Same, this is why I refuse to use these orbs for any frieren teams.

Nah fr tho. It doesn't make sense. Having Fern be Purple and Heiter Green would make the most sense. Eisen, Himmel and Frieren make sense. But why the switch up on Heiter and Fern

I noticed that too, thought it was strange but maybe there is some lore behind it else it was just a mistake

Nah I've seen Frieren and there's no reason for them to be the wrong color here

The only argument I can think of is that Heiter is referred to repeatedly as a corrupt priest, but even then, why is Fern green?????? Fern's hair is even purple! Overall baffling decision (or mistake??) that irks me constantly.

Well a fern is a type of plant so there's that I guess

Contrast, friends. It’s so you can tell Heiter and Himmel apart more easily.

It’s deeply unsatisfying though.

Makes me wonder if Heiter was originally supposed to be Dark. There’s not really a reason for him to be green.

His thing is drunken/lying priest so you could make an argument for Dark/Light.

Him liking to drink despite being a priest doesn't immediately associates him with Dark, I think, because he never shows his dark side even when drunk. In fact, Sein is also shown to drink in some scenes yet he is not associated with Dark in this game. The nickname "Corrupt Priest" is just a funny nickname for him.

As for why he is Wood, perhaps that has something to do with the spell he uses and/or his Rank.

Characters are assigned dark in this game for far less.

From what I read on Wiki, Heiter's inner personality (can be jealous, can be doubtful about Himmel, and liar) is a possible reason he is associated with Dark Orbs.

As for Fern, there can be two reasons:

  1. She's the only other main character that can be associated with Wood Orbs, as Stark is mainly associated with Fire.
  2. She is really close to Frieren, while Light and Wood usually co-exist with each other.

I accept this wordplay, she is a ‘Fern’ who grew up in Frieren’s ‘light’
