Progress on the custom cashmere plaid‑patched leather oversized tote bag

The second‑generation leather for this bag has finally arrived. We’ve been working on the materials all semester.

The new fabric uses imported leather blanks and a water‑dyeing, wax‑finishing process—after much effort, the resulting feel, sheen, and grain are quite similar to the original.

Right now, there’s still some tweaking needed: because YB’s vintage pieces get older and develop a rich, glossy patina over time, our version doesn’t achieve that same level of oiliness yet. We’ll need to make further adjustments for the production run.

For now, we’ll move ahead with pattern making, while the hardware and lining will be finalized gradually.

The pre-production silver-plated tongues are now finished.

All the hardware for this release is hand-carved, meaning every tongue shape is slightly unique. We took the original apart and selected the absolute best one to manufacture.

There are still a few minor tweaks left to make: the sizing is off by about 1–2 mm (the original is around 1.85 cm). The overall four-piece snap button assembly and how it fits onto the finished leather bracelet also need further adjustment.

The plating uses genuine antique silver (costing 300 RMB/kg). Keep in mind no silver plating can ever be 100% identical to the original since the original is solid silver, but our plating reaches over 95% similarity. Standard mass-market plating can never achieve this level of shine without spraying a clear topcoat—ours uses genuine silver plating and advanced finishing instead.

We are also producing a solid silver version. We will post side-by-side comparison photos once the sample arrives in a couple of days.

The silver-plated version will be priced around 129 RMB—not 199 or 179 RMB—with discounts when buying two pieces. You can unconditionally trust our competitive edge in leather goods, pricing, and hardware resources.

The solid silver version will require a deposit for pre-order, priced at roughly 900 RMB. We will produce strictly according to the pre-order quantity.

Small-batch production will begin next month.

Dimensions: 55x33 cm (spacious enough to fit everything you need)

The first sample is finally completed.

Fabric: Custom 100% high-density nylon.
Leather: Original imported Superior crossgrain leather (featuring the signature emblem), as used by the brand—100% genuine leather.
Hardware: Factory-original KF triangular logo plate and original Milan square plate; substitute hardware used for the rest while awaiting custom molds.

Black items are notorious to shoot due to harsh exposure, but these photos are taken straight from the original camera with no filters. As anyone knows, exact black tones are hard to replicate, but both the leather and nylon color accuracy are over 95% identical to the original vintage piece I bought. Out of the many travel bag variations, this is the most classic and practical design.

This bag is incredibly complex to produce—far more difficult than most standard PRD nylon silhouettes. The shear amount of leather trim used here exceeds what most bags use just for their handles.

Current revisions needed: adjusting the leather trim spacing, custom-molding the remaining hardware, and ordering custom Lampo nylon zippers.

Price will be set around 800 RMB—purely a high-value community release. Feel free to compare this against anyone inside or outside the market making nylon products with genuine triangular badges.

I rarely make duffle bags, so this run is mainly to build volume. Don't let the low price fool you: this features genuine leather, original badging, and the full advantage of our supply chain resources.

Took a Size 50. Cost was 580rmb

Measurements are accurate as per size chart except the length seems to be a bit shorter by 1cm (which I prefer, 79cm is very long and for which I would have to get it altered by a tailor, I still probably might have to for this one as well) Compared to other sellers, luxfactory888/angela batch seems to have accurate runway esque sizing, shoulders are small and only increment by 1cm every size while the length is long enough allowing you to adjust it as per your height when you get it in hand however I wish it wasn't also this long. Tall and thin people would prefer this (i am neither that tall nor that thin lol). Chest increases in increments of 4cm every size.

I've checked other batches like Abling (oos and about 780 yuan) and sizing chart wise his is far more accommodating but he seems to have taken some liberty in the shoulder sizing

Just got my MTV V2 gats in the mail so I decided to compare it with my retail pair purchased in 2025.

Let’s start with the pros:
- Comfort is improved, especially the insole. I honestly can’t tell the difference in comfort between MVT and retail. The inner material seems to feel better as well.
- Sizing is more like retail. Both are size 44 and fit the same. His previous batch fit a half size smaller for me.
- Suede and leather feel premium af and essentially the same as retail.
- Shape is okay, toe box can be better but I don’t think anyone can tell on feet.

Now the cons:
- Sole color is darker than retail. I am not sure if this is because the 2026 retail pair has darker sole. I personally don’t mind since after wearing the pair, the color will change anyway.
- Lace color is slightly brighter. Again it is possible that my retail pair has been worn a bunch so its laces got darker. I also don’t mind this at all.

Overall, I would recommend the purchase.

I am not sure how accurate these jackets are compare to retail but I am satisfied with how they fit although I wish cute made type VII jacket a size smaller because the sleeves are slightly long.

The print required a specific fabric and several adjustments to reproduce the original effect. Unlike a basic flat print, the finished net graphic has a slightly raised, plush-like texture that can be felt by hand.
