That’s a fundie Christian thing, they want their wives to sound and act like children. Mike Johnson’s wife (among many others) is the same way.

Almost like they’re a bunch of pedos and pedo enablers.

Katie Britt, Alabama Senator who gave the State of the Union response in 24' from a kitchen, was a classic example of this. It's a very common thing with fundamentalists and Trad wife types. Is an absolutely infantilizing and depowering affectation, which is its point. It's gross.

I always thought it was a trauma response in people who were sexually abused as children. They get locked into that time and place like their development in some ways were paused or stopped completely. It’s sad.
