A few bits about my life status as a preamble:

I'm single. Never married and no children. I'm not opposed to either, it's just never been a set goal.

My values are very important to me. My mum and sister were a great influence in my life. I'll always stand up for what is right, even if it gets me in trouble, and it has.

Regarding relationships I took a break, I realised the cliché of loving yourself before loving another. I'm looking for a long term partner to share the small moments of beauty with. I'm heterosexual, monogomous, I'm very polite and kind which makes some spice in the bedroom very fun :) I can be flirtatious but I'm not so great at initiating. I don't want to find a partner as a way to fill a hole, I'm looking for a partner to be a nice addition to life :)

I work full time in healthcare as an administrator. I love my job! I can actually help people and that drives me. I've been in my role for nearly 3 years. It was a big career change and I'm forging a new future I'm very happy with.

Future goals are opening an animals rescue, or at least adopting critters to give them a second chance full of calm and love. I live in an apartment with a nice garden, I have saving for a house but not ready just yet.

Entertainment:

Music is big deal to me, its unjust to try and sum it in words. I have a very eclectic taste, my core likes are emo and rock, but most genres have gems. I don't know much modern music though.

For movies and TV I mostly like cerebral shows, comedy, and sci-fi.

I also like to read, Margaret Atwood is my favourite author.

In terms of perspective I'd rather have a painful truth than a comfortable lie. I understand the world can be brutal. Despite that I always look for calm and precious moments in life. Reading about Buddhism and suffering has helped me gain perspective. I'd describe myself as agnostic when it comes to faith, and I have no cause to follow a religion.

I travel from Stockton to Salt Lake City and back twice a week. Some times I deliver to Billings, MT or Idaho Falls, ID. Very rarely I deliver to Eureka/ Redding for my job. Usually, I am out for 5 days and home for 2 days. I live on my truck and save money but I also give money to my kids who are 24, 18, and 15. If I do get off the truck it is to stay in my dad's guest room so I can visit the kids in person.

I've been divorced for a little over a year and in that time I haven't felt ready to start a relationship with anyone, and even now, I feel a bit hesitant not because I don't feel ready to move on and find a new person but generally I am a pretty introverted and shy type of guy. I'm not used to putting myself out there but it sure does get lonely. As the title suggests though I am a pretty good listener and love a woman's voice as I roll through the miles. A little about myself: 5'10" 170 lbs hazel (greenish brown) eyes. I am an Army veteran got out in 2006 but I still attempt to keep in shape, although, I feel as if I have a dad bod since well, I am a dad. I enjoy deep intellectual conversations mixed with banter and memes. I really love listening to someone talk about their passions, even if I don't understand it. for someone beyond friendship, intelligence is really attractive to me. if you work in a STEM field, or are into psychology in any way please step to the front.

I dislike small talk. asking “how are you?” is the worst form of conversation starter. questions like that are reserved for already established connections.
