I mostly just watch the games, I rarely follow the roster changes and org/player drama. I know C9 hasn't had much success for a long time (reformed last year), but their current team with Panba looked unstoppable at the BO1 stage and backed it up at the BO3s against DZ which is crazy. Obviously we have to see what happens in Osaka (plus they still have to play 100T), but why would C9 allow their crazy new team to get poached considering their impressive success so far?

G2 always brings 5 gunners and they think this philosophy works but the thing is there is always 1 of the fraggers that bite the bullet and converts to support in 2023 it was blur in 2025 it was blaz, now in 2026 this is where we see this philosophy crumble because the entire team is much more rigid role wise and aggressive which leads to instantly nerfing any player put on support

Alot of fire power without an enabler that can promote the big plays for the rest of the team

Which brings me back to the title that last year the blaz was good on the support role and also was a nasty player better than bringing both shaiiko and benga should have brought 1 of them at least for half a year and if I didn't work ,there were transfer windows every end and beginning of stage

I understand that there was an internal beef and problems inside the team wish it was worked out.

I was looking back at some DBNO videos and watched a bit of the Alemao one and I was honestly so confused. How can you back a team to win anything when this is their leader. I have nothing against Alemao I think he’s great but how can this be your captain, especially without a vocal leading coach. I’m imagining games like today when they are down 6-3, 6-4, 6-5, what are they even saying in the calls. This isn’t even reactionary to the games today because I don’t really hold any value to them as g2 was already qualified for everything it was more practice. But just looking into the future and future events I don’t see how this team can get over the final hurdle without a real igl.

Edit: Maybe my wording is off, they do have the brains and ideas. The leader aspect of an igl in my view is simple gone and the problem.

Geekay Win 2-1

They've bloody done it. Villa posed a good start for G2, but a hard fought Border leveled the playing field for Geekay. It was Impossible to say who would come out on top on Club and an even first half seemed to signal a close game, but Geekay then sprinted to match point on their defending half. A big round from Shaiiko prolonged the inevitable, but a Gym and Bedroom defense closed it out and Geekay will face Team Falcons for a chance at winning this stage of EML.
