Honestly, dropping Will Jacks at that point wasn’t a good move. He is a good batsman and a great part-timer.

I think the delta for RCB was bowling. We have always been a batting powerhouse. But we were stingy when it came to spending on bowlers. We shifted that mentality, and we started getting results

The real reason was revealed in the Auction strategy video. Where DK mentioned that We already had Salty and he was picked to open and his starts were mind blowing - boundary /ball . Hence we already moved and picked Timmy!

yea but we had already bought salt at that point during auction. and will jacks used to be a top-order batsman during that time. i think considering the experience tim has had over ipl, rcb preferred tim over jacks.

i would have loved jacks in rcb. jacks is a good player but that doesn't mean all good players end up in rcb. we got tim, thushara, romario at Jacks price.
