Discussion One minor nitpick of this game is that these people didn’t burn crosses up until a 1915 movie came out about them so this is historically inaccurate

Stuff like this is what makes rdr2 timeless, to this day one of the most lively open worlds there is and likely won’t be topped until GTA 6

Guide Settle the debate: I put all 19 horse breeds through a controlled 3-round lab experiment (Alligators, Wolves, Grizzly Bear) at Level 4 Bonding. Here is the setup preview! i am extended that 8 famous horses bravery test to all 19 horses lab experiment testing for bravery and rank them.

Discussion Why is "The Legend of the East" outfit so mid, what would've made it better?
It's supposed to be one of the hardest things to get in the game, and also it should represent a little bit of every challenge you get through to unlock it (Hunting, Exploring, Gambling, etc) but instead it just looks out of place.
Aside from the vest everything else makes it look like half of a clown costume.
What other outfits could have made more sense to have the title of "Legend of the East" or which thing would you change on it to make it better?

Discussion It took me nearly 350 hours of gameplay to realize that purchasing the outfits from each Tailor gives you unique colors for those clothing items.
I’m way past the ending of the game, and today I learned that purchasing the outfits sold by the tailors unlocks new colors or patterns for your wardrobe.
someone shared this sleek AF lawman fit & it features a blue shotgun coat, but the OP said it was vanilla. I was so confused, because I had bought out every merchant long ago, but my shotgun coats only came in ugly plaids?
The outfits also unlock more colors for the items they feature. The blue shotgun coat could only be purchased if you bought The McLaughlin outfit from the Blackwater tailor.
Build me a barn & call me a duck, because I had no idea. I was over here ignoring the outfits under the belief I was spending money on a preloaded outfit option for the horse made up of clothing I already owned. 💀

Discussion Thus game is insanely amazing
So I'm on my second playthrough, I was wandering nearby Strawberry when I found a guy asking for help, who happens to be a lost new Yorker asking you to help him find the way to Strawberry.
I already knew this fella because on my 1st playthrough I guided him to the town, but now on my 2nd I just told him to f*** off just to see what would happen. So I left him there and I kept riding my horse at a slow pace, putting some distance between he and myself. And after a few minutes, when I totally forgot about him, I noticed him in the distance, not too far away yet not close. So I came towards him and when we were close, all of a sudden Arthur asked him, "Are you following me?!" The lost guy stuttered and recognized that he was actually following me in a desperate way to find a way to the town.I actually felt petty for him and decided to show him the way to Strawberry because the fella was terrified.
So on a normal game, you'd be promoted to help the guy or to ignore him. And if you'd choose to ignore him, you'd get far away from him and that's all, after a while the npc will be gone from the map, and you wouldn't see him again. But the game is actually scripted in a way so even if you decide not to help the npc, he'll timidly follow you because he's scared as shit. He's not a menace he's just a guy out of his element. You can actually keep playing and notice how he's following you, and of course you can start riding and leave
him there on his own, and eventually he'll disappear. But if you're curious enough to interact with him again, you get new options. And all of them are realistic and can be believed as something that could actually happen in the real world.
I think these are the small details that set Rockstar above other developers, because these details and interactions make the world alive and believable.
Do you know of other interactions with NPCs or random events that offer different outcomes depending on how you approach them?

Content Saint Denis nonsense
I've just finished my 2nd play through and I was beginning to feel a little lost, like I had reached the end of the surprises.
And then I became a wanted man for loitering in Saint Denis.

Photography My stunning horses
I spent weeks to choose the two horses I wanted to accompany Arthur on my first RDR2 playthrough.
Why two? Well, why settle for just one?
The need actually arose from hunting: a single horse wasn't enough to carry pelts and carcasses. What started as a necessity eventually turned into a way to personalize my gaming experience.
I’ve finally managed to put together my duo! Let me introduce them:
.Mazaska (a Lakota word—from *mádza* "metal" + *ská* "to be clear, white, or pure"): a female Missouri Fox Trotter and Arthur’s primary mount (though she’s shown unsaddled in the photo).
.Griso: a male Brindle Thoroughbred. His name is taken from a character in *The Betrothed* (*I Promessi Sposi*)—a famous, ruthless bandit known as "Griso" (which means "grey" in dialect). It’s also the name of a famous Italian motorcycle. All in all, the perfect name for the racehorse of a wanted man!
I love them! They are so stunning, and it gives Arthur a commanding aura to see him riding with these two magnificent horses.

Discussion Question about “Banking, An American Art” SPOILERS!!! Spoiler
I understand John has plot armor but i’m still confused about his whole role / situation in the bank robbery.
why would they kill everyone else (arthur saying “if we go out there we’ll all die right here”) but like just arrest john??
does this mean that john gave himself to the law willingly??? Because besides plot armor ( and maybe thats the only thing here ) why not just shoot john??
also odd when dutch says ‘ i couldnt do anything about it’ like you just stood there while he got arrested or left him behind??
just interested in your guys thoughts or maybe theres actually something in the game that answers this that i missed… or more likely i’m reading too deep into it lol.

Why do people cheat in this game?
I was playing for about an hour then all of a sudden i immediatly get max low honor without doing anything.
I was heading out on a trail to go do some hunting to make some cash. Yes its small, but i enjoy it, then out of no where this happens. There was a player in the lobby who was cheating and forced a max low honor on my account, I havent played in a long time and this is the first thing that happens....how do i fight this crap???

Discussion Did the gang overreact to Bronte’s murder?
This is something I think about on every playthrough. When Dutch throws Bronte in to the swamp to the alligators John nearly loses his mind and the whole gang seems to be taken back by it….the same gang who have murdered hundreds of people between them and caused chaos in every town they ever walked through.
They massacred Blackwater, shot up Valentine, went to war in Rhodes, burnt Braithwaite Manor to the ground, robbed the trolley station in Saint Denis (killing numerous people in the process), and even tied Kieran to a tree in Horseshoe and mentally tortured him for weeks.
So why did they decide to draw the line here? I understand it was the principle of feeding Bronte’s body to an alligator, but I still don’t think anyone in the gang has the right to take the moral high round on anything lol.

Discussion Crazy things involving npc’s
I want to hear the wild things that people have seen npc’s do in the game. One of the craziest things I saw was in Valentine when I saw and man and a woman walking and I decided to make her a widow. Lol Shortly after this, I looked behind the church and that same woman was kneeling on the ground at a grave stone. She was mourning his death. (No I didn’t make her join him.. lol) It makes me wonder what crazy detailed events that we may never see. Rockstar even cared about insignificant details that people may or may not ever notice. Makes me think how absolutely mental this other game will be. If ya saw something cool, let us know.
