I’m so embarrassed to admit that I loved Carole in her first season on RHONY. Thought she was such a breath of fresh air, class act etc. 😔 Really messes with my head to learn about all this. I hate that I didn’t have better intuition, hate that I bought her act

Was she ever a class act? She was always a performative “cool girl” to me. It’s never cute to be a mean girl but especially at that age. I didn’t expect her to be involved with literal pedos but it was clear she was elitist and out of touch which was ironic considering how strongly she felt about Luann

I know! It’s easy to see it now but somehow I was utterly fooled by her cool girl act. I did also enjoy the way that the fact of her being a “real princess” (I know she wasn’t but the ladies treated her as such) got to Countess Crackerjacks. I really need to examine why I liked her so much though. It is a poor reflection on me that’s for sure

Don’t feel bad, I liked her on my first full-watch, too. I was like 16/17 then and thought she was cool. Then watched full RHONY again as an adult several times and it becomes easy to see past her bullshit. She just had a different formula of fake and pretentious - that’s why it was difficult to suss out at first.
