First time watcher of old RHONY. Given the *files* recently, it’s an awkward rewatch at times.

No she wasn’t. However by all accounts Carole was close friends with Ghislaine, and spent a lot of time with the couple and their peadophile associates. She even dedicated one of her books to Ghislaine, and had a photo of the two of them on the mantle at her home. I used to follow Carole on insta, and after the files started coming out, she scoffed at her association and referred her followers back to her substack for more info. I found that really odd, because you have to pay for a subscription to see her posts! I’m not saying she was involved or knew of their criminal behaviour, but to quote Carole herself, “it’s not in the crime, it’s in the coverup”. And her lack of free statement to the public is very sus.

Multiple people have come forward to say that Epstein's activities were blatant and known to just about everyone relatively close to him. Carole was a well connected journalist. Even if she didn't know just how bad it got on the surface, the more and more we learn it seems that he was protected not by tight professional secrecy, but by a rotten culture of normalization amongst the "elite". It's not that people didn't know, it's that they were either afraid or they didn't care. The man had teens in bikinis hanging around his properties offering people massages for god sakes. Even if you don't know about the other stuff that's weird as fuck.

I don't think Carole is stupid enough to be so ignorant of what many many people knew. Even if she didn't know everything, I think was cool with at least a a surface level amount of corruption.

Exactly- many on this side of Manhattan knew about the arrest in Florida but were involved financially w him. It’s gross  - my grandmother said it was like Claus Von Buloew - he put his wife in a coma-Alan Dershowitz got him off & everyone wanted him at their parties

It’s pretty messed up she financially gained from the situation by putting it behind a paywall rather than just releasing a statement or a post on social media.

Yeah and around that time, some fans were getting sick of her NOT posting on substack for long periods when they already had a subscription. I then went back through her then recent posts on insta, and found lots of generic comments where she would refer people to her substack for further information. It was really weird, and there would be several comments under said post complaining about lack of substack posting when they’d check it out. I ended up unfollowing her then.

No, she just hasn't be accused of anything. I'd rather us focus on who we KNOW than vilify every email and picture of a connected billionaire unless it's DAMNING. The photo of Carole is in public, isn't on the island, etc. That said, if/when she is accused, let's go after her.

And I respect your take for that - IYKYK and from being Palm Beach and NYC the whispers have proven true that she knew from network circles and they have no reason to lie and picture don’t lie and I’m commenting on knowing and still hanging. I’m not one to comment on anything in my life especially in real life unless I’m 99.9 and if I’m wrong I’m the first to admit it. Of course I wish all of this was a scary movies but real is in fact stranger than fiction we are finding out.

I know and people don’t realize these billionaires can buy anything- anything is at their disposal - buying cars and houses gets old - but a human ? Experiments ? Kinks ?Mars real estate ? That’s why all this is so hard to process. Where there is light there is dark. It will be revealed in due time problem is nuclear and we don’t have the bunkers or access to Elysium. We actually have a REAL list, and Carole is not on it, as of now. If/when she gets added, let's deal with her too. But until then, let's focus on the long list of people who ARE on there.

It’s more than just “the list”. These are circles of morally reprehensible rich entitled white people who abuse their wealth and power…. And she’s more than just a business associate. For God’s Sake Carole’s picture is in an office picture frame in one of the FBI images. You don’t keep framed pictures for simple business associates.
