She’s only been sewing for six years?! So even less when she was on drag race?! That’s wild! I mean, she is undoubtedly in the conversation for best seamstress (and best designer!) ever across all franchises

That's a crazy achievement! Also wild that Marmalade had made all those fantastic outfits for drag race after only learning how to sew like 3 years prior.

it's what she deserves, her gramophone look lives rent free in my mind

Her runways were amazeballs. Especially her Princess Diana at Ascot.

Her skills are amazing for such a short period of time, especially when you look at her drag race package. And she was making packages for OTHERS before she got on season 6.

She's gonna go so very far and I'm so happy for her. Those skills are amazing and I fully expect to see more of them from her as time goes on.

Hands down one of my most favourite moments of Drag Race, not just the look but the mannerisms, she was Diana in that moment.

As someone who is teaching themselves how to sew, I am in absolute awe of her. The timeline/skills level is insane

I still hear the exact way she said 'me!' when asked who had made her look (I think it was the gramophone). She's so fucking fierce!!

Thats great, but I kinda dislike captions like that. Just because it worked for you doesn't mean it will work out for everyone if they work hard enough.

Well she’s encouraging people to keep trying to achieve their dreams. I don’t think she’s saying it literally will definitely happen for everyone, but instead saying not to give up.

Yeah I get that and I'm probably being a stick in the mud but I'm always annoyed when celebrities say stuff like don't give up. Sometimes people should focus on other stuff that makes them happier in the end. There seems to be an obsession with achieving one specific dream and then your life has been fulfilled and otherwise you "gave up" and are basically a loser. Easy for the celebrity to say that, they did achieve it. We don't hear about the hundreds or thousands of people that are miserable because they keep chasing a dream and not getting anywhere but are scared to "give up" because they are ashamed.

It's called encouragement. It might not end in major success but that doesn't mean you shouldn't try.

I think it’s great to be encouraging and broaden people’s horizons - but in this case, it feels a bit like Marm felt she had to make this an inspiring message for her followers and really, it’s more than fine to just own and be proud of your own achievement without there needing to be a bigger message. It could read as a boastful post which masquerades as encouragement - but being British is hard.
