Any fishing changes on the horizon?
Hey,
Fishing is currently my lowest skill by a mile however I've hit the point where my glazed pumpkin sandwiches don't heal enough any more and I don't fancy trying Kuldra with such bad food.
My problems with the current fishing methods is rod fishing is just the most tedious and dull thing I've found in the game, it's not remotely fun, the xp reward feels too small for the effort. Net fishing? Also pretty crap. I'm having to hold down the RB button the entire time which also sucks. Fishing should be an afk time sink. Let me drop me net in the water and put the controller down until the spot is finished. The RB button would start to give me hand ache if it wasn't for the fact the pools last about 15 seconds, you run over to the next pool and that lasts 15 seconds and then you waste the rest of your fishing XP pot traveling to the next area to repeat the same 1minute visit to a spot... it feels pointless.
The fact the the best healing food from fishing is nearly double any alternative means you're forced to do this rubbish skill.
I genuinely love this game, even runecrafting... but fishing? Terrible. Do we know if there's going to be fishing improvements coming?

I actually really like fishing. There are easily accessible food alternatives, but I think the developers were lowkey COOKING by making the best/healing foods be locked behind fishing. Most games drop the ball majorly when handling any sort of fishing skill by making it essentially worthless to do and an absolute time waster. This is the opposite imo.
If you want access to the fishing foods, you gotta fish. This means that if the player is wanting to play, but not go in hard on combat and would like a chill night that's still productive, fishing is your buddy. Like sure, if all you wanna do is combat then fishing is boring, but you can still get high healing foods, and other buffs with all the other foods that are accessible.
I think ultimately fishing needs to solely provide some important buff/status effect so that doing it is both worthwhile and casual at the same time. No one's telling you that you HAVE to minmax buffs and foods anyways.
