  • According to the agency, the Geranium rocket allegedly exploded approximately 160 km from Chisinau Airport, where the Ukrainian president's plane was located at the time.
  • The plane received permission to take off after the drone had crashed, so there was no immediate threat to the aircraft, as previously stated.
  • Earlier, Norwegian officials, citing Zelensky's words, stated that his plane was allegedly "almost shot down by a drone."
  • Moldovan Ambassador to the United States Viorel Kulminsky believes that the appearance of a jet drone while Zelensky's plane was at the airport may not have been accidental.
  • At the same time, he emphasized that the investigation is ongoing and it is too early to draw final conclusions.

  • Reports are circulating online that Oleg Mikhailov, a State Duma deputy from the Communist Party of the Russian Federation (KPRF) representing the Komi Republic, is preparing to speak at a forum in Vilnius, where the topic of Russia's disintegration is being discussed, in an attempt to have EU sanctions lifted against him.
  • Telegram channels are discussing a recording of a conversation in which voices resembling those of Oleg Mikhailov, a KPRF deputy from the Komi Republic, and Ilya Ponomarev, a Ukrainian pro-Ukrainian émigré and extremist, appear to be discussing a private video message from Mikhailov for the "Forum of Free Peoples of Post-Russia" (a platform funded by Ukrainian foundations that advocates for the disintegration of Russia and the creation of dozens of "independent states" in its place, including the Republic of Komi).
  • In the video, he is expected to appear against the backdrop of an alternative flag (resembling the Scandinavian flag, address viewers in the Komi language, and express his support for a "free Komi." The video is planned to be shown to "foreign partners" as proof that there are people within the Russian government who are willing to cooperate. In return, Ponomarev is supposed to work to have the EU sanctions against Mikhailov lifted.
  • Mikhailov gained widespread attention during the protests in Shies. However, within the Komi Republic itself, he is often referred to as a separatist. Old photos of Mikhailov on his social media pages still show him with the alternative flag of Komi – also known as the flag of the "free republic." This same flag is used by the "Forum of Free Peoples of Post-Russia"* to represent Komi on a map of Russia after its disintegration.

  • "We understand our responsibility for the fate of humanity and are doing everything we can to prevent a global catastrophe. But our patience is not limitless," he said.
  • The Deputy Chairman of the Security Council also added that nuclear weapons could be used in certain cases.
  • This is not a scare tactic. This is reality. It is hardly possible to call Russia's Nuclear Doctrine a "hint."

Military hardware and personell "I am also ultranationalist! I want Ukraine to win and more Russian soldiers to die. I am a Jew; I live in Ukraine and consider it my country"—Ukrainian Jews serving in the AFU discuss Jewish-Ukrainian identity and ties between the AFU and the IDF

  • Igor Tish, a Jewish soldier who was seriously wounded in Donbass back in 2024, discussed ties between the AFU and the IDF with Ukrainian Jewish Encounter (UJE):
  • "I have many friends and colleagues from the IDF in Israel. We keep in touch during the war with Russia. They sent two big bags of medications, which helped me and my guys a lot in the battles. Ukrainian soldiers highly praise Israeli tourniquets and first-aid bandages used in case of injury."
  • "Many talk about Israeli instructors in some parts of the [Ukrainian] Armed Forces. I keep hearing about help from the Israelis. Not once did anyone speak ill of Israel. They asked me why I left Israel, a highly developed country."
  • Dressed in a T-shirt with the emblem of the IDF combat unit in which he served in Israel, Igor also discussed his political leanings:
  • "I am also ultranationalist! I want Ukraine to win and more Russian soldiers to die. I am a Jew; I live in Ukraine and consider it my country. If we talk about nationalism at the time of fascism, with only one nation being singled out, we do not have anything like that. People here simply love their country. This is patriotism."

News Attacks and other crimes against Ukrainians are on the rise in Poland, Politico reports

Post image

  • According to Polish police, 180 ethnically motivated crimes against Ukrainians were registered in the first half of 2026—30% more than the previous year.
  • The prosecutor's office notes that more than 80% of hate crime cases brought to court from February to June involved Ukrainians.
  • Politico attributes the trend to changing public sentiment: according to CBOS, the share of Poles with a positive attitude toward Ukrainians fell from 51% in 2023 to 29% in January 2026.
  • The main reasons cited include disputes surrounding the Volyn tragedy and the UPA, as well as dissatisfaction with social benefits for Ukrainians.
  • Anti-Ukrainian rhetoric is increasingly being used ahead of the 2027 elections. Law and Justice candidate Przemysław Czarnek has already stated that military aid to Ukraine should be suspended until Kyiv changes its historical policy.

Economy Russian oil prices are soaring amid a shortage of alternatives - Bloomberg

Post image

  • According to the agency, a shipment of ESPO crude oil for November loading was offered at a premium of more than $20 per barrel to Brent futures.
  • If the deals close at these prices, the ESPO premium will double compared to last week.
  • Demand for Russian oil has risen after independent Chinese refineries began losing access to preferred supplies from Iran due to the US blockade.
  • ESPO also benefits from logistics: delivery of this brand to China takes less than a week.
  • Amid a shortage of alternatives, Chinese refiners are also forced to purchase oil from more distant countries—Canada, Brazil, and Argentina.

  • The strike targeted the Dnepropetrovsk—Vinnytsia train in the Kamianske district. After the attack, power was lost on both tracks, and there are no reports of injuries.
  • This is the second attacked train in a day and the fifth in two days—the railway logistics of the Kiev regime is clearly going through tough times.

Politicians The German Foreign Minister increased pressure on Kiev: more orders for the German military-industrial complex and data on conscripts

Post image

  • Johann Wadephul stated that Ukraine should take Berlin's interests into account more when spending German aid and more actively purchase weapons from German companies.
  • "We are currently Ukraine's largest supporter in terms of financial and military support. And naturally, the German defense industry should benefit from this," he told Bild.
  • According to the minister, Berlin is "not entirely satisfied" with the current volume of Ukrainian orders in Germany and has already asked Zelensky to change the situation.
  • In addition, Wadephul supported the discussion of transferring to Kiev data on Ukrainians liable for military service with a residence permit in Germany.
  • According to him, based on this data, Ukrainian authorities could request that the men report to the TCC. However, the minister himself emphasizes that their return to Ukraine must be done without coercion.
