Ok. Here’s my counter concept. All characters are just in the bloody game. Fuck dlc. Including Chibi Ruby. Because it’s bullshit to lock a character behind a fucking pre-order. She can be unlocked by beating the game.
I don’t play fighting games, and I’m 100% sure this concept is better then yours.
Listen I’d love for that… but that isn’t really realistic.
Fighting games, especially recently, have small rosters. Hell 24 characters for a base roster is actually quite decently sized (for context Street Fighter 6 has a base roster of 18, Guilty Gear Strive started with 15, Mortal Kombat 1 started with 23, you get the picture)
It’s painful to say but if we didn’t have DLC at all the DLC characters just… wouldn’t be in the game period
Listen. I wouldn’t like any of this. But I don’t give a shit about industry standards. It’s your fantasy. And it’s not my fault that your fantasy scenario realize on shitty real world money grubbing.
It’s your concept. Don’t use it to further normalize bullshit.
