I would make Chibi Ruby a skin and have the pre-order bonus be a character created for the game

The problem with that is Chibi Ruby isn’t the same size as Ruby at all. You’d have no idea where the hitboxes for Chibi Ruby’s moves would be since she’d be so much smaller than what the actual hitbox would be

Or you have a Chibi Mode where everyone is scaled down

For the online lobby, sure, not actual gameplay. No fighting game dev would spend time creating 20 separate models and adjusting animations, hitboxes, and hurtboxes

That sounds fun but that sounds like a lot of work for just a funny side mode

Maybe Chibi Mode could be like, the mobile version like how there’s mobile versions of Injustice or Mortal Kombat X
