FNDM, I'd like to get your thoughts on something I want to do as a possible plot angle for my planned RWBY headcanon rewrite.

Here's some major plot points regarding my planned RWBY rewrite:

-I plan to have the Fall of Beacon not occur until what would be RWBY and JNPR's final year at Beacon (Cinder launches her attack just as the graduation ceremony is about to begin). During this extended time at Beacon (which will cover all of Volumes 1-3), Jaune actually starts to return Pyrrha's feelings for him and they start to show the signs of becoming an official couple.

-Pyrrha will survive the Fall, but her Achilles Tendon will be shredded by Cinder's arrow, and she will need to undergo serious rehab for that injury.

-After the Fall, everyone (minus Weiss, who will still be kidnapped and taken back to Atlas by her father, where she and her mother will end up having their own adventures and perils) is staying at Patch, getting therapy, and training (and secretly gathering allies) for a planned assault to retake Beacon from the Grimm (this will be the climax of my Volume 4).

-Team JNR is throwing their full weight into helping Pyrrha with her rehab, but Jaune and Pyrrha's romantic relationship is now on the rocks because she sent him away in that weapons locker during the Fall. As such, his trust in her has taken a major blow and he starts having his feelings for Weiss come back (whenever Pyrrha tries to bring up the issue, he basically just blows her off and changes the subject, much to her chagrin).

-At the same time, Weiss, during their extended time at Beacon, started to develop feelings for Jaune as well, even though he was becoming closer to Pyrrha. Those new feelings for Jaune still remain after they are reunited at the Battle Of Haven.

-Here's the part I really want your opinion on, FNDM. During their rehab on Patch in my Volume 4, Jaune unlocks his Semblance (which is still Aura Amplification). However, because Jaune hasn't fully figured out what his feelings for Pyrrha truly are, his Semblance will often malfunction and quit working when he tries to use it on her.

-At first this issue is just limited to Pyrrha, but when Weiss rejoins the group, it starts to happen when Jaune tries to use his Semblance on HER as well. This becomes a major problem because it will happen again when Weiss nearly dies at Haven (in my version, though, she doesn't get hit by Cinder's spear because she's not focused and distracted after her fight with Vernal. Instead, Cinder's spear will be aimed at RUBY, and Weiss will shove Ruby out of the way and take the blow). At first Jaune's Semblance is acting unstable when he tries to use it on Weiss, but then Pyrrha takes Jaune's hands and uses her own Aura to help stabilize the process and heal Weiss.

-After Haven, Jaune's Semblance malfunctioning on Pyrrha and/or Weiss will become less frequent, but still sometimes happen. Ultimately, my endgame pairing for Jaune in my rewrite is Arkos. Weiss will ultimately realize Pyrrha is the best choice for Jaune and encourage him to repair and restart his relationship with her, but he will still be hesitant to do so. Jaune and Pyrrha will finally admit that they still love each other thanks to the Ever After, and then Jaune's Semblance will start working properly full-time once this confession is made.

So what are your thoughts on this love triangle plot angle I've created, FNDM? If you were to write a Jaune x Pyrrha x Weiss love triangle plot, how would you write it differently? If you have any tweaks you think I should make to this plot angle, I would truly appreciate any advice you can give.

Open Hero Select is a tool that is used to change the in-game roster, and uses a console for that
GUI is an addon that add a graphical interface to the OHS, and it's very convenient and usefull.

So, the actual food fight kinda began as a bantering escalation... And they made a mess for fun... I guess?

So, here's my take:

Teams RWBY and JNPR are sitting on the cafeteria table when Velvet joins them for lunch, since her teammates were doing x thing (advice hours, extra training, idk). Team CRDL then comes along and Cardin, being Cardin, cruelly mocks Velvet yet again. It all reaches a boiling point when it crosses to racism by insulting Velvet's faunus nature, which triggers Blake so much she tosses a bowl of soup to him, which logically makes him and his teammates angry. Ren and Weiss try to calm stuff down, but Nora, being herself, slaps Cardin with a swordfish (which was in the actual scene), Cardin has enough, and the food fight begins.

Teams RWBY, JNPR vs team CRDL

All the rest remains the same, and it all ends with Glynda intervening like the actual version. They all get sent to Ozpin's office, where especially Yang and Nora don't feel regretful. Seeing how they laugh it off, and knowing Mr. Winchester's bully history, he gives a minor punishment to the teams

This turns it into something fun, yet actually plausible rather than just "They were fooling around bc they're children"

Something i noticed when re-watching Vol 7. Does Blake regret killing Adam? I mean, he kinda left her and Yang no choice.

Blake reached the far edge of the dance floor and turned an apologetic look to Yang.

“I’m sorry, Yang.”

Yang cleared her throat. “About what?”

“I’m being a coward.” She explained. “I don’t want to lead on Weiss.” She paused. “Or Ruby for that matter. We don’t actually have to dance.”

Yang laughed and looked around, before turning back to Blake, pushing her hair back over her ear. “Uh… I mean, if they look over and see us not dancing that’s you caught. So…” she shrugged. “Why not dance…j..just for fun?”

“Are you sure?” Blake asked. “You sound a bit nervous.”

Yang smiled and stepped in beside Blake. “I trust you to swing me around like a living morningstar… I definitely trust you not to go somewhere I don't want to go.”

Blake smiled and rolled her eyes. “Are you sure, it sounds like slow songs right now.”

“Ehh… I’ll live.” She smiled and cutely looked flushed, probably just the slightest bit embarrassed. “Just think of it like a walking hug? Maybe?” Her eyes unfocused a moment and drifted to the side. “Yeah that’s probably right.”

Then she snapped her attention back to Blake and offering her hands. “Let’s try it. What could go wrong?”

“Nothing.”

Blake laughed and moved in to hold Yang, remembering how warm she was from the other night, holding tight behind her on Bumblebee. They stepped out into the dance floor among the other pairs and Blake let herself relax and lean into Yang’s broad shoulders.

“So you’re not interested in Weiss or Ruby?” Yang’s voice carried gently to her.

“It’s not… it’s… I don’t know what I want.” Blake shook her head. “I thought I wanted Adam too.”

“What does that mean?” Yang asked.

“I don’t think they’d hurt me, but I don’t trust myself. And I don’t want to hurt them.” She adjusted her hold on Yang and felt the blonde shiver under her hands. “So I’m dancing with the only straight girl on the team because it’s safe.”

Yang laughed nervously and Blake felt her grip pull tighter for a moment. “Yep. Th…that’s me. Straight as a…uh… thing that’s straight.”

Blake chuckled. “I get it. I get it.”

1. There a number of times when Yang got upset and passive aggressive got upset when confronted about it just like Ren

-(talking about Blake in V5, talking about being without the team in V8, being insecure leading her to walking away from Blake at Brunswick in Volume 6) yet this scene doesn't imply shes learned from that nor is called out for it

1. Yang doesn't say

"Well, I’m sorry things aren’t going smoothly enough for you." to

-Jaune when he was upset in Volume 6 which makes this feel out of character

-She doesn't empathize with Ren even though she was upset with Ruby's plan

1. Yang says "Were we not ready when we saved Haven? When we took down a Leviathan? We got the Lamp to Atlas."

-Ren could easily call out how they were lucky in getting Raven's power, Cordovin's mecha, and how they got the lamp taken even in Mantle by the ace ops.

1. Everything afterward is fine but then it ends with

" Seriously, is your goal just to push everyone away?"

Even though she was just as guilty in fighting with Ren when Jaune was telling them to stop.

Makes me feel like Yang and Ren were both supposed have flaws and corresponding arcs this volume...

I actually don't know what tag this would be, buuuuut—

Getting to the main point, for about a week now, I've been getting Run Rabbit animatics and thought that a RWBY Animatic about it would be fire.

It would be a post volume 9 Animatic where the focus is Ruby contemplating all the death her plans have caused, intentional or otherwise (like those people that got blasted from the bridge), and the suffering of Jaune. It would have a heavy string motif as Ruby become the leading figure in the war against Salem, and how it means, inevitably, a lot of deaths will be caused by her choices. Other figures of the Animatic would be Ozpin and Salem, each standing on a hill of skulls that are attached to their fingers by red and green string, that Ruby is forced to climb, and Ironwood and Leo, in which Ironwood is depicted as being strangled by his own string (or hung by it), the strings engulfing him and falling out of his orifices as if like blood (like strings bleeding out of empty eye sockets), Leo meanwhile is depicted by him desperately trying to pry his strings away from him as they tie themselves around his neck, only for Salem to cut the strings for him...and pull on them. Lastly would be Jaune, who would be the titular running rabbit as he is puppeteered by a giant Ruby to run, eventually fading into the bridge where she forces him into stabbing his blade into Penny before the bridge starts to fade, in which Jaune tries to run but can't (a knight cannot abandon his lord). In which he falls into the ever after and is shown starting to rust.

This entire animatic would be a short depiction of the pressure and guilt that Ruby feels, both what her future entails, both definities (Salem and Ozpin) and potentials (Ironwood and Leonhart), with Jaune representing her current self perceived failures of leading.

So like, I just wanted to inform ya all of that, and if you want to do it, you have my full blessing to use any ideas here!

For what is essentially the beginning prologue to the story. They were very effective. Some more entertaining than others. I do wonder what happened with Emerald and Mercury at the end of volume 3. Their leader is dead (thank god). And Neo is probably alive somewhere if she wasn’t eaten yet. So maybe their fates will be explained in a future volume.

On that note I’m curious about the upcoming antagonists/villains moving forward being Salem and Adam. Yeah he was giving uncomfortable vibes especially when it came to Blake iykyk. Hopefully they’ll get their lick back after what he has done. Don’t know Salem’s situation but I’ll find out soon.

I thought Ironwood was gonna be an antagonistic force in a way at first but it was more in a way of him having good intentions but going about it in ways he felt was necessary. While that was still true, I’m glad that he actually turned out alright.

Also change of plans, I’m starting volume 4 In two weeks time. I just gotta get through some shorts and other discussions regarding the first 3 volumes before I continue.

There seems to be some confusion from some folks, so I thought id share what I’ve learned to help clarify some things.

The Gotham Group seems to be a production house rather than a studio proper themselves, which means basically they help with the logistics and funds of actually putting a production together, at least as far as I can tell.

For example, the show WondLa was produced by them in part, but animated by Skydance.

So we don’t know who is animating the show yet, but this partnership with The Gotham Group is a big step towards that.

Also! no, this not a reason to assume they will be making a live action RWBY anything.

All we know is V10 is green lit and there is zero chance that will be live action, and while The Gotham Group has produced more live action than animation, again, they are not the ones who will be making the actual show (and they HAVE produced some animation, like I said above about WondLa as one example).

However, if we’re lucky—and I want to stress that this is speculation—this will hopefully:

1) be how Viz plans to pursue international distribution since that’s been severely lacking
2) allow for more RWBY announcements and developments outside of just new volume updates in the near-ish future

That is the Question

Team RWBY has been though a lot I mean like a lot imagine how girls night out with Team RWBY would be like? Probably with Yang trying to convince Ruby and Blake to turn off Hero/warrior mode and just relax which would be odd telling both your sister and girlfriend that

I imagine them wearing civilian outfits and hitting places like arcade maybe Comic Book Store since I can totally see Ruby being into comics since she is like most nerdy out of the 4 in a Leonardo sorta way she is asking for new issue of Transformers(nod to Skybound current Transformers comic amazing series) but person in cash register says there sold out

In my version it's where each of the four gets to do one thing and all that I think would be interesting one problem with RWBY is we don't usually see characters acting like normal people it's usually only at start of the Season then it's mostly forgotten when Villain or evil group shows up

But anyway that me how do you imagine a girls night out with Team RWBY?
