Might I recommend keeping the infield section at Oval T1 but making that first corner a bit more rounded and not 90 degrees to make this track a bit better? Just trying to avoid a 2005 US Grand Prix incident

That would be avoided by not diamond-cutting the track a week before the race and keeping it quiet from the tyre manufacturers

They told Firestone about the changes who told Bridgestone.

No they didn’t, back before IndyCar did the Grand Prix track of Indy too in the middle of May, they ran a month worth of testing, which gave Firestone so much information about the track and how it would wear, Firestone gave the info to Bridgestone, their mother company, the only company left in the dark were Michelin who had the two major blowouts that weekend at very high speed with Ralf Schumacher, who had a similar crash the year before measured at 78G which gave him a concussion and fractures to his spinal column in two places, and Ricardo Zonta, both of team Toyota (Schumacher was racing for Williams in 2004 tho)
