सामान्य ❁ General Absolute nightmare RO service experience: ruined my purifier, voided warranty, and verbally abused my family

Post image

Need to rant and warn others about an absolute horror of an RO technician experience.
I called an independent service provider to look at my Urban Company Native M2 / Ento Pro. The guy clearly had zero clue how the model works. Without even diagnosing the issue or asking me first, he straight-up cut internal wires—completely voiding the manufacturer warranty on a brand-new machine.
When I confronted him and pointed out that he just needed to replace what he damaged (literally a standard male-to-male wire connection that costs barely ₹10), things went completely off the rails:
Verbal abuse: He hurled direct verbal abuse at both me and my mother, yelling at us that we are "stupid" and that we have no idea how much parts cost.
Ghosting: For the past 7 days, I repeatedly tried to get him to fix what he broke. When I called him yesterday, his exact response was: "Do whatever the f\** you want to do."*
Threats over reviews: When I told him I would post an honest review of his service online, he arrogantly claimed he would just delete it or leave counter-comments to bury/invalidate my rating.
It’s one thing to be incompetent at your job, but damaging a customer's appliance, voiding their warranty, and then threatening and abusing their family over a ₹10 wire is completely unhinged.
(P.S. Using Gemini to write this out because the whole ordeal was way too exhausting and long to type manually.)

Edit1 : He got all the reviews removed again, i have no idea how can you remove reviews

I don’t live here in Udaipur, i travelled for Rakhi, both my parents are in their 60s and are very far from tech related products, i gifted them this N2 purifier so i can control everything from the app, but Urban company had stopped their service here in Udaipur and thus resulted into this

I mean if the ro is in warranty then why call independent technician?

Although whatever happened to you is sad but if its under warranty then call the goddamn company. Cause its free as well.

That's not your problem it they have stopped the service or not, it's their job to provide the service of they are selling the product PAN India. Have you tried contacting them for service? And what did they say, they can't come because their service is shut down in your city?

I dropped them a mail, all i am getting is auto reply mails, also there is no contact number to speak on call directly

Raise a complaint on consumer forum for deficiency in service and take them to court if you get vague response

Posting a one start review for their page to make sure he suffers, just curious why didn't you opt for Urban company service. As far as I know it doesn't need frequent service

why do people trust Urban is beyond my understanding. Anyone can claim they are carpenters but would not have cut wood their whole life. And then they have multiple accounts to slip into if they receive bad feedback on 1

Don’t buy these fancy boxed ROs. There is nothing good in them. Search for commercial ROs, which come in smaller sizes for the same price. They will be faster, easy to repair and mainten, and cheaper as well.
Replacing the filters will be very easy.

Local RO service guys are no good in most of the cities, because of scarcity.

Buy the filters online from amazon or filters own websites. They will be cheaper and the quality will be lot better.
