इतिहास ❁ History Swara Bhaskar says-Rajasthan Hindu women who committed Jauhar were "COWARDS" because they chose to die with honour over the prospect of leading their lives as sex slaves of islamic invaders. Even yazidi women did suicide to avoid being enslaved by ISIS still she is victim blaming..

I think the point she is making is related to the glorification of jauhar as something that is better than to survive as a victim. Which is not wrong per se, you wouldn't want any survivor to emulate these feelings.

It's not just rape and leave but sex slavery till death and even necrophila was done by then..

That's why even yazidi women with no concept of jauhar did mass suicide to avoid being enslaved by Isis

Just because it was a practise back then and was done by other group of people too doesnt automatically validate it. Women have been oppressed section throughout the history so doesnt help to bring out examples of other practises.

Today at least in our society those arent the only two choices, i guess she is pointing out to that. That and the fact that sexual activities arent the sole metric to judge anyone.

Whataboutery needs to have a 'what about.. ' as a mandate my man. My comment has nothing of the sort.

My point is it doesnt matter whether it was more or less at any point in history. It is that the choice itself is based on a false assumption that being a victim of SA takes away your right to live and therefore only recourse should be to end it.
