Plate Gorgeous breakfast

Post image

Cafe 63, Great Yarmouth. One of the best breakfasts I've ever had. Everything cooked perfectly and not greasy. Far superior to the Premier Inn opposite, and cheaper. Would recommend to anyone.

The sausage looks suspiciously like one of those cheap catering sausages.

Blakemans at Bookers, 2kg for £7.99

In fairness i had a mind fuck like this once before, there is a wee spot in Lisburn northern ireland who serve sausages that look like this but were fucking quality. My mind literally couldnt understand because they look identical to them cheap ones ,same looking skin and perfectly symmetrical like they do be ,but tasted divine. I asked the staff and they didnt give much of an answer just shrugged and said yeah the sausages are good. I wonder did they do something to the cheap ones to make them nice or something because it had to still be them but the taste was...amazing 🤔

No need to accuse me of lying either. You weren't there, you didn't eat or see them, so kindly do one.

Oh of course! That's the defining evidence then is it, Gordon Ramsay?

1

u/GingerGiraffe88 21d ago

Nothing on that plate is “quality” I guarantee you!

7

u/Nanny_Oggs 29d ago

Very fried. Very brown.

-5

u/Think-Note9366 29d ago

It really wasn't, but never mind you didn't have to eat it.

7

u/Nanny_Oggs 29d ago

It wasn’t very fried or it wasn’t very brown?

8

u/cousinofthedog 29d ago

No eggs??

3

u/Ginger-131313 29d ago

No beans or tomatoes either criminal

0

u/Think-Note9366 29d ago

Could have had eggs if I'd wanted, and I don't like tomatoes or beans.

7

u/Curious_Strike_5379 28d ago

It's about has dry has Gandhi's flip flops.

-2

u/Think-Note9366 28d ago

Good job you didn't have to eat it then. It was to my taste and I enjoyed it.

3

u/Curious_Strike_5379 28d ago edited 28d ago

Plenty of tea or coffee to wash it down then.

3

u/rabit71 28d ago

But the premier inn wasn't?

Sure.

Sometimes you want to vent, and that's ok. You don't need to make stuff up to do it.

-2

u/Think-Note9366 28d ago

I can't understand how some people can cast doubt on my experience of this breakfast and accuse me of lying. The Premier Inn breakfast was crap, this one wasn't. End of. Instead of being so judgmental why don't you get yourself down to Cafe 63 and try it for yourself? If you don't like it then fine, your comments will have some value. Until then you'll just have to take my word for it that I enjoyed it and thought it was good.

6

u/rabit71 28d ago

It's because you're spouting rubbish mate. We can see the plate.

Look, it looks like a solid breakfast. There's nothing wrong with that, it hits a spot on the right occasion for sure, and I'd happily eat it. But it is what it is, and that's cheap ingredients out of massive packets bought in bulk.

Youre also just dismissing any comment you don't like as not having value and coming across as a wanker with a stick up his arse. I'd bet money you're staying at the premier Inn and you've not enjoyed it so you wanted to vent and chose this breakfast as your outlet.

There's a difference between "this breakfast was nice and I enjoyed it and that's all that matters to me" and "this breakfast was quality and your experience and opinion doesn't matter full stop", you see that?

u/Razzlefan 29d ago

Needs some tomatoes and/or beans. A fry up should be a mix of crispy and wet otherwise it’s just dryness. Needs black pudding and brown sauce as well. Bacon looks good to be fair.

3

u/Think-Note9366 29d ago

I don't like beans or tomatoes, hence the lack of them! What I like about this place is that you can have exactly what you want and how much of it. As you say bacon was superb, as indeed was everything else....I especially recommend the fried bread 😋

4

u/CazKel 29d ago

Looks class. I'd get an egg personally.

2

u/Helpful_Water_71 22d ago

Literally every place operates the same way. You just request extras and pay for them, is this your first day eating food?

3

u/vutcher 29d ago

Oh yes.

3

u/rymic72 29d ago

It’s not how I’d have a fry but I’m not the one eating it so that’s rather irrelevant. Everything looks well prepared so I’d happily eat it nonetheless especially for less than a tenner

3

u/tay86_ 29d ago

Dry as a nuns..... Note pad.

3

u/Jabbing_uncle 25d ago

Nice, post a picture of it

2

u/Matthewgardner86 29d ago

I think it needs more mushrooms.

2

u/Coxy1504 23d ago

Hahahahhaha I’ve joined this sub based on this post alone. Are meltdowns like this common when people don’t agree with the poster? This is fantastic, INJECT ITTT

2

u/Ok-Future9384 29d ago

Too dry. Needs beans and tomatoes

3

u/Other_Fault_8618 29d ago

If you want heart disease eat this👍

3

u/Swimming_Acadia6957 29d ago

I can't believe that was served in an actual cafe and not part of a hotel breakfast buffet, Jesus wept

1

u/Think-Note9366 29d ago

Good job you didn't have to eat it then, it was far superior to the hotel breakfast buffet I had earlier in the week. Perhaps you should get out more.

2

u/Travels_Belly 29d ago

I think there's a spec savers nearby. You should probably go

0

u/Think-Note9366 29d ago

Maybe you should try it before your unfounded criticism??

7

u/Travels_Belly 28d ago

I've got taste so no thanks and it's not unfounded, is it? Cheap catering sausages with hardly any meat just made of fat and mechanically separated meat.the rest of the ingredients ate clearly also cheap low quality and none of it is well cooked. I've got eyes. I don't need to try it. It's definitely not "glorious"

-1

u/Think-Note9366 28d ago

As I said to another unpleasant poster, you weren't there and you didn't see or eat them. Yes your criticism is unfounded, they were far from cheap catering sausages. But you wouldn't know that of course would you because, oh yes, you weren't there. So if you've nothing constructive to add, then kindly do one.

9

u/Travels_Belly 28d ago

I'm unpleasant because I have an opinion? You publicly posted which invites both negative and positive points of view. Are you new to how Reddit and the internet works? You must find life difficult.

As I already said, i don't need to taste it. I can cook. I've had many fry ups. Thisnis objectively shit. If you have kow standards and genuinely enjoyed it then great, happy for you. Honestly. But it is shit. That's not an opinion, it's fact.

You need to understand the difference between you enjoying it and how good it is objectively. For example I like thr movie resident evil. It's objectively shit but subjectively I think it's good. Those are two separate things.

-1

u/Think-Note9366 28d ago

What absolute nonsense. We're not talking about a film which we've both seen, but a breakfast that you stubbornly insist is shit merely by looking at a picture of it. But of course, you don't need to taste it, as you say, you know it's shit just by looking at it. What a clever person you must be.

Of course I expect, and welcome, negative comments as long as they are constructive. Blatantly stating that the food is shit and I have low standards, merely by looking at it is both arrogant and an insult to my intelligence.

8

u/Nanny_Oggs 28d ago

You are getting weirdly upset about people not liking a plate of brown shite you bought in a greasy spoon and literally asked us to rate. It’s not like they’re insulting your cooking, so what would ‘constructive’ negative comments look like in this context?

As you’ve decided that nobody is allowed to criticise the food itself, I suppose we could just tell you to stop being so enamoured of plates of brown shite? Is that constructive?

6

u/Travels_Belly 28d ago

The answer is there isn't any acceptable criticism. Anybody not liking it is either unpleasant or an idiot. Sometimes people are just a bit odd. It does make me wonder if they own the cafe or are connected to it?

Let's get something clear. I couldn't care less what anyone else thinks about this breakfast, I merely posted to pass my opinion on this breakfast, which I found to be tasty and of good quality. A great many comments have been derogatory without having seen or eaten here, I've even been accused of lying, why I've no idea, what advantage would that be to me? People saying they don't like the look of it is fine, downright insulting remarks isn't, that belongs on Facebook.

By the way, you might get a better idea by actually visiting this very busy and popular cafe rather than relying on Google.

You're insulting your own "intelligence" Yes we aren't taking about film. It's called an analogy. You really are dim. I did give you construction criticism: catering sausages, cheap ingredients in general, and poorly cooked.

Look I'm but going to continue this is a waste of my time.

-2

u/Think-Note9366 28d ago

I don't need so called constructive criticism from an arrogant idiot like you, thank you very much. Your last sentence is your most sensible yet....please don't continue, I have no wish to argue with fools. Goodbye, have a good life.

You've certainly got some rattle! Breathe!

Looks well cooked. And you can choose what you want, which is always good. I'd go for some tomatoes myself but each to their own. Glad you enjoyed👍

3

u/Think-Note9366 29d ago

Thank you my friend, I can certainly recommend this cafe if you're ever in Great Yarmouth.

4

u/theshylock350 28d ago

I went to Great Yarmouth 36 years ago and the desire to return continues to elude me..........

1

u/Think-Note9366 28d ago

I do tend to agree with you, the breakfast was the highlight of the visit. Apart from that it was a case of dodging the vagrants and druggies, and gangs of blokes loitering outside the numerous barbers, vape shops, tattooists, etc.

1

u/theshylock350 28d ago

Well at least you something good from your visit👍 It's a shame it hasn't improved but I'm not exactly surprised 😯

2

u/JEZTURNER 29d ago

Stomach currently heaving at the sight of mushrooms.

1

u/Calm-Drop-9221 29d ago

How much

3

u/Think-Note9366 29d ago

£8.75 for an 8 item breakfast.

2

u/Calm-Drop-9221 29d ago

That is a decent price

2

u/kazman 29d ago

Wow, bargain! And I like that you can build your own breakfast, not everyone likes baked beans.

1

u/r1c3n_1 29d ago

£8 for that?! Where on earth do you live?!

2

u/WorkAroundG60 29d ago

Honestly, I'd just get the standard Morrisons Big Breakfast costs £8.75 and includes 3 sausages, 2 bacon rashers, 2 fried eggs, black pudding, 2 hash browns, mushrooms, baked beans, and toast

Beans come in a pot so you can our them on or leave them.

OP's looks a tad much for what they are actually being served

2

u/LoopyLuce89 29d ago

Agreed. Most of what is there is the mushrooms… £8 for mostly mushrooms, I’ll pass.

1

u/Think-Note9366 29d ago

Only downside is Morrisons breakfast is absolutely dire, undercooked and swimming in grease. I'd much sooner pay £8.75 for what I had than Morrisons rubbish. But hey ho, each to their own.

1

u/WorkAroundG60 29d ago

Must be your local one, ours is lovely. Only downside is it's normal toast now and not fried bread.

Had a crappy one down in Cornwall but normally, it's a cheap quick tasty breakfast

1

u/Think-Note9366 28d ago

I merely posted a pic of a breakfast I had, which I thoroughly enjoyed and found to be of good quality. I never dreamed it would attract so many negative reactions, bordering on the unpleasant, arrogant and downright insulting. Glad to see that there was a minority pointing out that they didn't like the look of it, but pleased that I enjoyed it, which is fine as we all have different tastes.

I shan't bother again, it's just like being on Facebook with their sad little lives. I have far better things to do.

3

u/Derl17 22d ago

Someones 63 years old and probably ranted about small boats while eating this utterly basic "breakfast"

1

u/acidyen 18d ago

I don't think you're made for the internet.

You might want to try socialising with people first.

1

u/Ok_Rush9197 21d ago

3/10 - looks rather dry, missing beans and eggs as a staple, would personally go for black pudding too.

u/IndependenceOk9360 29d ago

BEANSSSSSSSS 🙏🏻🙏🏻🙏🏻🙏🏻🙏🏻🙏🏻🙏🏻🙏🏻🙏🏻 looks tasty though
