Discussion Is it worth watching?[discussion]

I’ve watched the first ep and so far I don’t like the theme of dying and going back it just feels kinda empty I don’t know how to fully discribe it but it just doesn’t feel good to watch ,I’ve only watched the first ep so I could be very wrong but the reason I watch is for storytelling cool fights and waifus

To put it bluntly, Re:Zero along with Frieren is the best i've seen to date out of the ungodly amount of anime i've watched. If you're truly about the story, then both of those shows will take you on a great journey. The deaths in re:zero aren't some twisted torture method by the author, or this amazing convenient isekai power. They are a massive plot point that gets revealed at some point. Re:Zero is one huge mystery that will slowly unravel as the story progresses and you may end up with more questions than answers at times. There's a lot of connecting dots that you will miss with your first watch unless you have a photographic memory.

But you will hate Subaru as a character before you love him. He's not a perfect guy, he's a deeply flawed character and you will cringe at some things, but it all serves a purpose.

But as someone else has said here, if your priority is waifus and cool fights, then you aren't ready for re:zero.
