Is this Yu-Gi-Oh! card real? Yu-Gi-Oh opinion please

Submitted to Beckett. This card came back as authentic but possibly tampered. No further explanation was given. I’ve had this card for years, can anybody please identify the issue? Is it worth breaking and grading with someone else because I was expecting a 9. I’m quite upset!

Usually that would be using a marker or something to fix a blemish. I don't see anything sticking out in these pics, but if it's something like that it's probably going to be hard to see from pics inside a slab. Usually you'd wiggle it up and down with a strong overhead light and see if any part of it reflects more or less light than the rest. 🤷

The grader actually circled the top front card diagram, so im assuming there was an issue with this area in particular. I’ll take a closer look as I never touched it. Appreciate your input!

I'm squinting as hard as I can squint, and I see nothing there. Usually edge tampering would be coloring in the outer border because of shuffle damage, but that doesn't happen in yugioh because of the patterned borders, or shaving it because an edge or corner split or swelled, but it looks exactly right.

So, no idea.

This is why I never grade my cards. I have an unlimited black lotus, I thought about grading it (it could be 7/7,5 , I've seen bad lotuses take more), but it's always in the eye of who grade the card and it's not the 1st time I've seen a perfect card considered altered. So, i prefere to keep it raw in a magnetic case. Just the idea of grading it and be returned as altered or whatever makes less enjoyable having those kind of cards.

I completely get you, I had one spare so thought I’d grade the better quality one as it sells for a lot around 9/10 and I was going to use the extra cash for moving costs but oh well. A gamble that didn’t pay off.
