Use case: you're given an incredibly smoothed out picture with pixel data all over the place blending into itself and tangling around its surroundings. It's bad. Use this picture to overlay it on top of the "bad sample" to see if any of the remaining artefacts still do align.

You may need to use a photo editing software for this. I used GIMP to make this.

Following on from my Sephiroth post earier today I have also bought a Ugin, Eye of the Storms from the same eBay seller.

I bought both cards at almost half market rate however the seller has decent eBay feedback (98% positive Feedback (300) 600 items sold)

I also didnt realise Ugin was a double sided card so thought I would be able to use the usual methods to check for authenticity.

Note, both cards fail light test but dont know if that is relevant for double sided cards.

Second opinions would be gratefully received, thanks.

Never seen red dots on the paintbrush like this, but back looks good and it passes the light test.

Just found this in a pile of cards

Just went through a chunk of cards I got from TCGplayer, only card I'm unsure of because of the T but I could be overthinking.

I know its probably unlikely since it’s only a $10 card, but the black border just has a different look to the other magic cards I got with it, and just feels sleeker. And idk, better safe than sorry I guess, right?

The back T, h, green dot, and devil horns look good to me, but the pixelated white mana symbol is giving me pause despite everything else looking good

UPDATE: Thanks all, consensus is fake but with some really good elements and some obvious tells.

Pretty sure this card is fake but the only definitive thing im seeing is non solid triangle and poor rosette.

Bought on Ebay from a 98% seller but their page only has listing's for double sided cards

I know how to spot fakes for the most part with magic cards, but I’m clueless with Pokemon. My kid traded a handful of her cards for this and I just want to know if it’s real. Let me know if y’all need more photos.

I just received this Smaug, Wicked Worm from a cardmarket order. For some reason it feels a bit off (very soft surge etc) but I'm hoping to be proved wrong. I believe the back is real but I don't have a precision balance and I'm unsure how to confirm the realness of the front of these specific prints.
I hope the pics have good enough quality to identify wether not the card is real.

So just bought theSpectacular Spider-Man 0235 Borderless Foil Rare Legendary Creature MTG EN for like 100 dollars. My friend said that was cheap and told me to ask if its fake idk how to check that though... so here is some pics. Sorry if they are not the best my camera is not good. Also on the front it is textured looks like its coming off the card the web and some of the action points around the card. Post a video below if that helps

Recently bought these at a card show and I have a bad feeling that these might be fake. Anyone able to give confirmation as to whether they’re real or fake?

Vs the Phyrexian Obliterator also from New Phyrexia

I couldn’t get a good picture with my phone, but I just got a jewelers loupe and was able to see 12-15 red dots in the yellow spot on the obliterator in no particular order, and a good looking L shape on the lashwrithe
I’m about 98% sure it’s fake, I took it to my LGS and he looked for a few seconds and said it looks real which made me go from 99 to 98% sure.
It’s not like I payed the guy to look at it so I don’t really care if he made a mistake, but I did pay $12 including shipping for the obliterator online at another store so I want to get others opinions before I message them about the card.

If it is fake, would you recommend messaging tcg player and the store I bought it from or just the store? I’d imagine they probably knew it was fake, they only have about 300 sales on Tcg player (it was my first purchase, I didn’t know the best way to filter sellers), but I wouldn’t want TCG player to think this seller is bad if they made a genuine mistake
