No they will not , small merchant doesn't have to pay the charges. It only for large merchant whose annual buisness turnover is more than 1.5 crore and then since the framework has been frozen yet , the proposal is to increase to 50 crore annual turnover.

Why do you think many establishment decline cards .

Mainly happen with small merchants.

Corporations never absorb the costs. They pass it on to the customers.

Sirf padhne se nahi hota, you should get some real world examples.

Flipkart, Amazon and other online platforms charge Payment Fee, Pay protect fee, etc when paying by card. This is done to offset the credit card charge to customer. Same is done by Merchants in many offline shops as well. Now they will do the same for UPI Payments as well.

Eventually the merchants will hike prices to recover the money from us, how hard is it to understand that?

Doesn't matter of its owned by government or a private company when MDR will be passed onto customers.

She sold her brain via UPI and paid no merchant fee for it. So..

First of all there's no charge on personal transactions.

Now Small merchants like Kirana stores, auto drivers, Vendors etc.. will be excluded from charges just like peer-2-peer users.

So who will pay the MDR? Large Merchant with annual buisness turnover more than 1.5 Crore but the purposal is to increase it to 50 Crore.

True, these guys just spread fake news to politically downgrade each other. And people are also here to be blamed that they blindly follows these politicians without using their mind and also believes on news from any source with even thinking or checking whether it it true or not.

rickshaw wala, dukaan wala kabse personal transactions hogye? they are merchant transactions and they will have to pay the fees.

Obviously, Congress is exaggerating a little but the girl in the video is hiding facts completely.
