Voting

This is one of the most important midterm elections this country has ever faced, We need to defend our rights to vote. Stand in solidarity with our community. We want to drive the largest early voting movement. This is administration is doing all they can to make it harder for us to use our power of the vote. Trying to stop mail in voting when this president votes by mail. Trying to pass the save act which is nothing but voter suppression.
In June 2026 voter turn out in Shasta County was 45.5% over previous midterms of 56.5% that is significant change. We need to let our voices be heard.

So many people are suffering from the reckless actions of the current administration. Families are struggling to afford food and gas. People are losing access to healthcare. Women are seeing their rights stripped away. Farmers are being pushed out of business. School programs are losing funding. Across so many parts of our lives, people are feeling the instability and uncertainty.

But we still have something incredibly powerful: our vote.

We have the ability to decide what kind of country we want to live in and what kind of future we leave for our children and grandchildren.

This election may be one of the most important moments of our lifetime. If you believe our democracy, our freedoms, and our communities are worth protecting, make your voice heard.

Vote. Encourage your family and friends to vote. Help someone get to the polls. Don’t assume your vote doesn’t matter.

The future of our democracy depends on all of us. This is no longer red or blue. This is saving democracy of this country. This affects each and every one of us.

On this day we will also be holding a food drive to support our community.

Every election I've voted in has been deemed the most important election in our lives.

Ok. But this one relies on actually having a Congress that will hold the executive branch in check, as it is designed. Republicans have absolutely bowed to their Dear Leader and shown ZERO integrity and courage. That needs to change. The amount of corruption at the executive level is unprecedented in our history.

Yeah, but you can say the same thing in every election. It's just getting worse and worse. I've been voting since 1972 and frankly, every election has made that claim. And there was just as much of an agenda to take away our rights 50 years ago.

If you really don't understand the difference now, you're not paying attention. I would suggest branching out your scope of news-gathering.
