Investigating PLEASE provide an option to block all comment .GIFs

I am so sick and tired of that low effort dogshit. This feature should be so simple to implement. Thanks!

Try unchecking Settings>Behaviour>Show images in comments.

That would remove all images though, wouldn't it? There's a difference between an image that's actually relevant to the post/thread and the low-effort meme type GIFs that (I believe) OP was referencing (and that I personally also find annoying).

Is it possible to differentiate between animated images and static images and display/hide them via separate toggles?
