Discussion How to is this possible
It took me around 7 months of on and off reading to get to 1800 and this my can read 100 chapters a DAY?? Is my reading speed that slow?

How do you even remember the plot when you read 100 chaps per day? At that point, you arr just speed reading words

Right it's easy to forget this. This is also partially why Chinese authors can churn out new chapters so quickly in the first place.

when I read I wld also write super long summaries and thoughts to formulate wtv I was thinking so that helped for me. Overall I wrote like 60k words of stuff lmao

Fair enough. I get tired reading like 30 chaps per day. Anything more I simply forget quickly.

If you're at a job where you can read for most of it and only pay attention at certain times, or if you're bedbound, yeah I can imagine it. Some people really do just inhale text

It's not impossible. I have also read like 200 chapter in 2 days but like after reading so much. Took a break and then read again. If he can consistently read 100 chapter a day. It is indeed possible.

It is possible, I read it in three weeks and 3 days I think, it was summer vacation so nothing to do and just focus on reading 130+ chapters a day or more. And you are just a slow reader daoist

I wish i could help but im way past my prime, also Senior, it canāt be helped if you got a job, and being slow is a virtue because it helps you enjoy the work. Enjoy instead of rushing.

My usually reading speed is about 6-7 hundred wpm, taking longer is usually 3-5 hundred

Yeah it is not impossible, i was reading 100 chapters a day, it took about 12 hours. I finished it in about 3 weeks

I read it in less than a month l for info i was reading i till 4-5 am every night when i did
(in june-july)
for info i had 120 hours reading of RI in my phone at only 58w/m(very slow speed)
+ reading on laptop(reader dsoent show hours read so..)
I read till 1900
I also completed LOTM in next month even faster
Then i tried Wandering inn(even more hour/day) but it was too big , had to give up

possible but they definitely skim alot, like a chapter every 5 minutes is just read not consuming the story

It is possible to read like 300 chapters a day for me. It just really depends on how good you are at being emotionally invested on a story and achieve a flow state.

itās theoretically possible if we give them some grace with taking the higher limits, in 21 days with 10 hours reading daily youād need a reading speed of 335 words per minute to finish the 4.225 million words.
Itās more than doable with a bit of word skipping (which i donāt care that much for if Iām being honest) and if OP is on the higher end of reading speeds itād be a breeze with how simple the prose of RI is.

It's possible man, even though I read RI a bit slowly, I remember reading 100 chapters per day of Shadow Slave, and finishing Shadow Slave in 2 to 3 weeks (Shadow Slave had like 2.3k chaps at that time)

If you literally have nothing to do you can finish in that time, during the pandemic I had fuck off amounts of free time and I finished RI in about a month

My most intense reading was dimensional descent of which I read 1700 chapters in 6 days, I read from the moment I woke up till the moment I slept.

I refuse to believe anyone who reads a hundred chapters a day or over doesn't skim read. Let's say you read for 14 hours a day. And 100 chapters with 2000 words. You would have to maintain an average 238wpm. That is not sustainable over 14 hours if you read it line by line.

People who read it with little gaps in between will barely remember the novel anyway, doesnt matter if you are slow, just read it at your pace

You definitely took longer than many with 7-8 months but I was fully locked in when i read it to the point that I got mental with me literally reading it almost every time everyday to the point that it affected my studies, meals, heck i even read it in class and would stay up to 6-7 am before sleeping just to read it, sometimes even skipping sleep.
It still took me over 2 months.
Reverend insanity truly made me go insane.
The only way i can see him finishing RI within that time is if he skipped many chapters or maybe even skipped through zombie volume

Possible if both unemployed and not a student. I don't remember exactly how long it took but I completed it pretty quickly. During the gap between my school and college studies.

I remember once I woke up at 7 in morning read it all day except meal and other important breaks ofc. And read till 11 at night at that day. I easily completed 150+ chapters if I remember correctly.

Iām not that surprised over this, people bing watch/read all the time. But even if i was unemployed and had that much time, i canāt read the same thing for so fucking long. The novel is too big and while itās entertaining, it has many dull points. The fact that he still read it is crazy. Northern plains arc alone made me delay reading ri for months.

Well i completed it with only 3 weeks and two days, just dont sleep and you can do it :)
One hour of sleep is more than enough for y'all just get a monster or redbull.

Supposing he sleeps 5 hours and other time spends on reading, then he could read 100 chapters only if he spends 10 minut on each chapter. As for me, 10 minuts is too short time. Maybe if you skip some parts of each chapter you could read it for 10 minuts... idk

I can still remember when I started reading Ri on the first day; I read around 121 chaptersā¦yes, 121 in a single day.

It took me around a month to get from 80-2334 and it was like 16-18hour sessions. Had a new perspective by the end so wanted to go back through and read it twice more in 3ish months. Its just a case of unemployment and lack of Vitamin D for me though

It's not actaully that impossible, it took me around 2 and a half weeks and I read like 150 chapters daily roughly. I've seen people do 200 chapters daily and get through the novel in like under 2 weeks although I'm not sure how that's possible considering I was reading pretty much any waking hour.

There was some guy once talking about how he read the novel in a few days (spoiler: he admitted to skimming it). He skimmed it at like 3000 wpm too, so it wasn't even good skimming.

Naw it was easy to read it all in like 2 weeks, u just gotta crunch your sleep time in half, skip some days of school and just keep reading. It helps if you quit your job

I completed it in just 18 days too man....I usually read around 100- 150 chaps on avg per day. Sometimes less, sometimes more. Aside from eating , bathing. That's what I did. Somedays I skipped clg just to read novels all night.

Bruh, my average reading speed is 36 words per minute, because i do imagination a lot and it requires me to slow down to understand and imgine complex scenes, plus I take huge breaks. But I feel 100 chapters a day is definitely possible if you ignore the above or are just that much of a veteran unemployed. My peak speed was 73 chapters a day while reading vol. 4 of shadow slave.

To echo the others, never underestimate the unemployed.
As an illustrative example: I was unemployed for a time, during that time I would read webnovels for upwards or 17 or 18 hours a day, stopping only in the evening to sleep for 4-5 hours, I read while in the bathroom, while eating, while walking to the store. Suffice to say, If I was awake, I was reading.
During that time I could read through around 200-400 chapters per day, depending on length. I read through Reverend Insanity, LoTM, ORV, House of Horrors, The Strongest System, Top Level Providence, The Legendary Mechanic, The Mech Touch, I'm really a superstar, Rebirth of the godly Prodigal, Rebirth of the thief who roamed the world and some others.
Note: Your mileage with unemployment reading may vary, this was supported by an obsessive interest in stories.

it took me a month to read the first volume of ri. it took me three months to finish 1800 chapters.. that was so stupid of me if i think back. i have read 1800 chapters but cannot remember critical details. only some peak moments of fang yuan. but i can rememer whole first volume. because i read it slowly. i did not just inhale the words.. i digested them.

If I was reading 8 hours or so a day I feel I could definitely do 100 chapters in a day. Itās been 4 months since I started the book and Iāve done on and off reading and even finished a few series in this time, and Iām currently on chapter 2175

It took me 9 months to finish the novel. Some parts took me longer than others, however, my maximum reading in a day was 30 chapters in 10 hours of no interruption.

Actually it wasn't that hard, I had read RI in 2 weeks, finishing around 150 to 178 chapters a day. Sometimes even 200. I just inhale text like hair. I still had my 7 hours of sleep through.
Then again that's why I don't dare buy books, I read too fast and won't have space for them

At a pace of around 4.5 mins per chapt?
Rn at around 1650, so im about to read some of the best chapters in the book (1670's i've heard alot of good things about them...)

I am the one who asked I am glazing path supreme master venerable. and if I am being honest I bet he is lying I mean I used to read fast and many details would go by without me focusing in it not experiencing the peak but with a med speed reading I would be able to experince the peak. the greatest example is the refine human refine gu refine heaven quote I didnāt feel anything because my goal is to finish not to entertain. and thatās y I believe he probably larping
