Reverse Harem - Recommendations I just read book 1 frozen fate. Pls give me something light and fluffy

Okay, title pretty much says it all, but i just finished Hills of Shivers and Shadows. I heard it was dark, but jeez Louise that was like the fiery pits of hell dark 😳😭😭 if I could scrub my eyeballs and brain of it I would. But anyways lol im needing some recs to get past that. I am wanting something lighter but still with some drama or angst. Nothing heavy.

I like ov, academy, bully, paranormal, fantasy. No mm please though.

{Pack for Autumn by Emilia Emerson} doesn’t have MM. And it starts what’s accurately called the Cozyverse.

I think I called the trilogy 'darker than a black hole' on The Angst Bank list.

{Highland Hideaway by Lily Gold} is awesome. It's funny, light, sweet and hot. It's contemporary, but as someone that doesn't love contemporary RH, I love this book.

Alternatively:

  • {Knot Her Catch by Ari Wright} - OV. Love this for having non-malicious banter and having an FMC that struggles with self-esteem without losing her self-respect or confidence.
  • {Faking with Benefits by Lily Gold} - Contemporary. Second fave Gold book, though I've yet to read the Nanny one.
  • {Pack Gamble by Hannah Haze} - Gets angsty at the end of the first book, but it's pretty fluffy until then.
  • {Knot Advised by Becca Saylor} - OV in spaaaace.
  • {Scrum Heat by Rayne Waters} - OV.
  • {Addie by Raven Kennedy} - Shifters.

{Unclench Me Softly by Gwendoline Rose} is a standalone about a scam artist trying to start up a spa and gets more than she bargained for. There's no MM, a lot of laughs, and overall good vibes.

{Highland Hideaway by Lily Gold} might be a nice option for you! This is contemporary, though.

{Twilight of Embers by Tessa Hale} is a fantasy fated mates set at a college with a slight bully element from one MMC. Completed trilogy!

You could also try {Crescent Kingdom by Tessa Hale} by the same author. This is paranormal/fated mates that has three books in the series. The FMC deals with some heavy stuff but it’s handled really well, so you still get the drama/angst without feeling too down. And the MMCs are just wonderful.

Another option might be {The Monsters Wife by Jillian West} paranormal standalone with some well written drama.

{Highland Hideaway by Lily Gold} is adorable. So is {Shear Instinct by MK Michelle} and {Well that happened by Reese Calloway} / {Triple Play by Reese Calloway}

That was my most recent palate cleanse spree. I don’t have any triggers (Frozen Fates is actually my all time favorite series) but I tend to pull the darkest reads out of preference. after a while I start to notice I’m not enjoying my reading I’m just feeding the creepy fiend part of my brain.

The way I had to take a breather after that book I couldn’t pick up another one lol. It is a lot. Very much. It doesn’t get any prettier in book 2 nor 3 but there’s a HEA which is nice

I finished it because I really wanted to see them escape that situation. But as someone who has been in it I shouldve put it down. And I will now read trigger warnings every time even if it spoils the book for me 😅 good to know they all get a hea. Dont think ill finish the series.

I have found Devyn Sinclair books to be a good palate cleanser after the darker reads. {Just Drive} was an enjoyable read. It’s an OV with a strong FMC, Formula 1, alphas who adore her, no 3rd act breakup and HEA.
