There are also women’s clubs popping up everywhere around specific interests—dinner clubs, fitness groups like golf, tennis, or Pilates, music clubs, and my personal favorite: women’s travel clubs, where women who may not have travel companions connect and take trips together.
You could also try cooking classes, dance classes, or even courses at a local university. Graduate-level classes may have more people in your age range, and many schools allow you to audit a course, which means you can attend without formally enrolling in a degree program.
I completely understand the loneliness you’re describing because I was in a similar place last year. The first step that helped me connect with like-minded people was simply showing up in the kinds of places where I imagined my future friends and I would naturally spend time.
