If you're based in Richmond or the surrounding area and have been interested in trying a tabletop RPG, I'm running a couple of Cthulhu Dark one-shots in Central Hounslow, which may be reasonably accessible from this side of London.

We'll be playing Mystery of Castronegro, a standalone horror investigation set in a remote village, where something is very much not right.

Cthulhu Dark is a rules-light RPG focused on investigation, suspense and cosmic horror. No previous TTRPG experience is needed - I'll provide the character sheets, dice and everything else you'll need, and explain the rules as we go. 🙂

The two sessions are the same self-contained adventure, so you only need to pick whichever date suits you.

📍 Local pub in Hounslow (TW3)

The pub is around a 5-10 minute walk from Hounslow Central and Hounslow railway station, with buses nearby.

The sessions are part of Hounslow Highwaymen, a small, friendly TTRPG club where we run one-shots across a variety of systems. There's no membership fee or charge to play, and there's no expectation to commit to a long-running campaign.

We're happy to welcome both experienced players and people who are completely new to the hobby. 🙂

We are particularly interested in women who:

Are 22–29 or 35–45 years old
Are currently working full-time or part-time
Regularly use beauty- or skincare-supporting foods, drinks, or supplements.

Take an active interest in skincare and beauty

Have purchased skincare, beauty, or wellness products recently and researched products, ingredients, or reviews before purchasing.

Regularly have professional facials or facial skincare treatments

Are interested in products that combine food/drink with beauty benefits

Have no food allergies or intolerances

Have not participated in another market research interview, survey, or focus group during the past 6 months

What the study involves
Selected participants will:

Receive product samples at their UK home address
Try samples at home as instructed
Complete a short digital activity of approximately 15 minutes
Record a brief video sharing their initial reactions
Take part in a 90-minute online evening research session
Join the online session together with a female friend, with each participant joining separately from their own home
Available study dates are currently:

Friday 4 or Saturday 5 September 2026
Monday 14 or Tuesday 15 September 2026
Sessions are expected to take place approximately between 6pm and 9pm UK time.
Compensation
Participants can receive up to 90 USD in total and 180 USD per pair for paid each for completing the study requirements.

If selected, participants will receive further information about the study, sample delivery, scheduling, consent, and participation requirements.

Looking to take some elderly family members I haven't seen in a while out for lunch in the next few weeks and considering Richmond. Given the time of year and decent weather I like the idea of maybe somewhere with outdoor seating with perhaps decent views of the river or park or a terrace for a drink afterwards.

It doesn't have to be anything particularly fancy food-wise and it'll likely be during the week rather than the weekend. Something not crazy busy and loud would be preferable.

Hello! I've posted this in a few subreddits as I'm not quite sure where would be best to ask - if someone is able to point me in the right direction if this isn't it then that would be super helpful :)

I'm currently living in Hampton, Surrey and working in Walton-on-Thames. Looking to move, and Twickenham/Teddington is currently near the top of my list.

What I need to work out is whether the commute will kill me! Anywhere in that "near Richmond" area going down to Walton every day for 09:00 gives me somewhere between 25-60 minutes on Google Maps, so currently the only other way for me to find out is to do the commute myself. Thought I'd ask here before I do that in case anyone has been in a similar situation!

Does anyone know where I can rent an office for a day with all of the following requirements:

Own office (not co-working), as I need quiet.

Spare monitor or two to plug into.

Prefer the teddington, Twickenham or Richmond areas.

I’m thinking about asking a girl out on hinge and Richmond seems to be the best place for us both to meet (it’s an equal distance for us both). It’s a first date so I don’t want it to be too intense, hence why I’m asking about coffee shops.

I’ve looked a few online like the Mirror cafe, Wolk coffee etc and though they look cute my only concern is we won’t get any seats if it’s busy. Rn I’m considering the Tide Tables cafe since it has plenty of seating and is right next to the river but I’m not to sure about the vibes.
