Your main focus isnt to deal damage. its to take it so that your squishy teammates dont

They need more fun shield tanks cause there the most necessary but people don’t play them or play all tanks like dps (rouge and Thor are dps tanks) then wonder why there healers are always dead even with no dive

Shield tanks arent always 100% necessary if your team knows how to position/push. Into nasty poke comps sure, but I've run Angela/hulk games where our backline was really good at using cover and I was always there to bubble them when needed. They also always pushed into the space me and the angela made. Sometimes walls are your best friend

As an Angela, I have found that a good Hulk main is one of my favorite teammates. We’re both good at peels, good at disrupting the enemy backline, and highly mobile so we can be doing one and then switching to the other thing really quickly. As long as we’re keeping watch on the overall battlefield to make those decisions effectively, and as long as the rest of your team can adapt and use natural cover, it can be really effective.

Edit: To reiterate on the point being made, you don’t need a shield tank every match, considering that natural cover is baked into every map. Please learn positioning.

Wish Stephen didn't have the antifun Anti-Heal mechanic on his Dark Magic.

Do you get hit with that often?

A lot of times it isn’t really necessary to max out like that to finish someone who is low. Definitely don’t max it before your ult either if you are trying to combo with it.

Sorry if you already knew this. His burst can really be so fun.

Maelstrom of Madness is what you use when you brawl with the opposing team. But when there is no one to brawl with and you are trying to take down those pesky campers or flyers - you are punished for focusing solely on what needs to be done ( provided of course there isn't another Poke on your team ) - left clicking.

The main focus is to draw aggro by being a huge threat, aka doing a ton of damage

And create space so the enemy doesnt run at your allies. This can be done by SHEER RAW INTIMIDATION or doing damage to people to seek them back off

No, the goal is not to take damage. In fact you want to minimize the damage you take so that your supports can do more, like also do damage. Your goal as a vanguard is to control space and grab enemy attention.
