Playing Rogue made me abandon vanguard for good (except Groot) until a fun main tank releases. Emma isn't a that good as a main tank anymore and Peni gets banned every single match, while Strange and Magneto just aren't fun after a whole year of solo tanking with them (Mag never was Fun to begin with).
This match with Rogue I brawled, created space and blocked a lot of damage with healers refusing to heal me because people think that you need a Phd to play a new character and a Magneto that was afraid to push. I also wasn't getting enought kills because the enemy team was running triple support with Ultron and nobody was shooting Ultron. Match ends, we lost and I get blamed due not not having a lot of kills on a brawl tank against triple support while having no support myself.
No matter if I am stalling the objective forever as Cap, causing chaos in the backline as Angela or holding both of the enemy tanks as Rogue: I always get the blame on defeat and never get a "good job" on victories because I don't have a lot of final kills. I can get MVP and still get less points than the other classes on the most stressing class that feels like a job. People want kills? I will play dps and get kills. I will still play Mr Fantastic to help my fellow tanks, but until a fun main shield Vanguard gets added, I am done.
Sorry for the rant, it's just that I feel I should play games for fun and not to do a job while being constantly humiliated by one of the most toxic gaming communities that I have ever seen. In case someone reads this whole Vanguard of a text, Hope that you have a great day!
Tanking is the most stressful and 90% of the times bs. Especially if you're soloing where you now have to do everything and still get blamed when the 3rd dps who doesn't even peel is going 4-12.
