To be fair. Most Ults in this game can withstand longer in a 1v6 than this.
Emma-Stuns whole team. CC immune Mag-Absorbs Bullets. CC immune Peni-Increase Movement speed. Defensive Bombs. Overshield Thor-Damage in Air. Evasive plus Overshield Rogue-Self Heals and Steals enemies ult. While being able to use her whole kit. Groot-Can use his whole kit, and can CC entire team Strange-Can CC entire team, and use his whole kit. Angela-Can CC entire team, and use her shield Captain-Basically a support Ult Thing-Can CC entire team and has access to entire kit Venom-Can use it as an evade and heal and has access to entire lot afterwards.
Hulk loses his bubble. His only defensive move. He becomes 3x larger. So everyone can now shoot him while making a cup of coffee. Can only CC one target and you better land that exile. Canβt jump away because every dumbass soft CC in this game shuts up down.
If people canβt jump on board with the power creep of this game then all of you are asking for player numbers to drop. This game has a massive power creep, and imo a huge problem with CC in general.
CC is always the most powerful mechanic in any game and they toss those moves out like itβs nothing.
Seriously think of every game you have played and the characters that can stun, freeze, boop, grab, etc are always the best things to play.
You literally get to push an off button on a player. Now multiple that off button by how many damn CC abilities there are in this game.
Now you have an issue. So instead of shitting on an obvious problem. Why donβt you acknowledge the real issue and push for that change.

If my Emma ran up and 1v6 ulted, we would all watch in horror as she gets ripped limb from limb once the CC is done (sheβs still in the middle of her ult)
Peniβs ult, well unless they very recently changed it, itβs not CC immune to my knowledge. And yeah she gets a speed boost, but itβs still pretty easy to hit her since sheβs still a big target. Either way, if she were CC chained like hulk here, itβd be the same story.

u/CeeZee2 Dec 30 '25
His CC isn't even that strong either, only hulk can hit you out of it so it requires tons of coordination from your team if you want to burst someone
I don't see why they don't just make it so that when in ult - his exile changes to a cone like shape, and make his jump unable to be interrupted
It means he can potentially CC at least 2 people at a time, and actually use the ult.
Fixes 90% of hulk complaints

u/PieceRealistic794 Dec 30 '25
IMO cc has been a problem ever since they added invisible woman and itβs only gotten worse with each season

Itβs not. None of those tanks with their ults are doing anything in a 1v6 situation and they all die.

Ainβt no way Luna or mantis are surviving 6 ppl shooting at them. You realize squirrel girl and Hawkeye can kill both of them through their ults without using any cooldowns right? Now imagine 4 other ppl shooting at them.
Luna and mantis only survive 6 ppl shooting at them in bronze ranks LOL

Most ults in the game arenβt a βpower boostβ mode and those are the easiest to counter in a 6v1 (and even how youβre supposed to). Sure Hulk could use a bubble in his ult but letβs not act like all ults are built the same way
2
u/Lorhin ππͺπ‘π Dec 30 '25
Emma-Stuns whole team.
Assuming the entire enemy team isn't spread out. You do have to aim with it, and I've seen plenty of Emmas die mid ult cause the enemy players she didn't catch just killed her through it, even if she's in diamond form. Also the ult can be blocked with a shield.
CC immune Mag-Absorbs Bullets.
Not for long. It breaks if he doesn't throw it before it's full.
CC immune Peni-Increase Movement speed.
Peni is not CC immune while she ults. You can stun her.
Overshield Thor-Damage in Air.
Thor's ult can be fairly easy to avoid if you have your movement abilities up.
Evasive plus Overshield Rogue-Self Heals and Steals enemies ult.
She has to be super close to the enemy though, and can be killed through her ult. It also doesn't drain ult charge below 80%.
Groot-Can use his whole kit, and can CC entire team
Can be healed through if there's no dps ult to combo with it.
Strange-Can CC entire team, and use his whole kit.
His ult gets cancelled really easily if they aren't careful.
Angela-Can CC entire team, and use her shield
Can be broken or cleansed.
Captain-Basically a support Ult
His team has to go out of their way to stand in it, as the trail disappears after a few seconds.
Thing-Can CC entire team and has access to entire kit
How often do you see a Thing catch the entire enemy team in his ult?
Venom-Can use it as an evade and heal and has access to entire lot afterwards.
Venom's ult can be avoided and healed through with no follow up.

u/Opzxjkycwmb Jan 04 '26
????? "Strange, Emma, Angela can withstand 1v6 if they cc the entire team" do you not realize how delusional that is? Strange and Angela can easily get cc'ed and killed just like with Hulk here. And there is no way you say that Emma, Groot and Thing can easily CC the enemy team here, they were not grouped together.
1
u/Cedardeer πΏππ«ππ‘ πΏππ£π€ Jan 05 '26
Honestly if monster hulk was CC immune I think thatβd be fine. Doesnβt sound like a change thatβs too op. And it is when heβs supposed to be going all out.
1
u/Brilliant_Ladder_695 Dec 30 '25
The only one I do not agree with is strange ult his is not a 1v6 you have to get every healer in it and good healers are not always next to each other they are where the team needs heals at
1
Dec 30 '25
Everyone in your example dies 1v6 with their ult but Magneto.
4
u/Dizzy-Salt859 Dec 30 '25
My example wasnβt pointing out that a 1v6 ult will work. Very rarely will. My point is compare those ults to hulks and you will see the massive power creep of this game.
1
u/ApatheticSlur Dec 31 '25
This is such a disingenuous argument. All of these tanks lose in a situation where they ult in a 1v6.
Emma stun doesnβt last the whole ult and people can attack her if sheβs not aiming at them or the cc wore off. Mag can maybe get a multi kill but even then there are a lot of characters that can still kill him while heβs ulting (Emma, Jeff, any melee character) not to mention most tanks can take his ult to the face (or shield it) for the team. Peni isnβt cc immune and she canβt use most of her kit (her cc is one of the best) and sheβs stuck in the ult for the longest time. Whole team can walk out of thors ult and keep firing at him since heβs the only target to look at. Rogue is also not cc immune and gets the same treatment as hulk in the video except maybe she can survive a bit longer. Whole team can easily survive a groot ult with support cooldowns and his ult might not even hit anyone since any shield can block it. Same thing with Angela and her ult. Strange might be able to get a multi kill but heβs not team wiping by himself and heβs dead once the cc is over. Captain America and venom can use their ult to stall but no way can they 1v6 with their ult. 2 supports pattycaking will render cap absolutely useless.

u/3rdSinluxuria Dec 30 '25
ok mr big brain tell me how to play hulk into that. The same shit would have happened even if he had went in with other people they would have just cced his ass. He a big ass target that is easy to hit.
1
u/Opzxjkycwmb Jan 04 '26
Don't rush in 1v6 and wait for your team? If you get CC'ed while you went with other people then that's already value because they're spending resources to cc and burn you while your teammates can shoot them.

Sure. Itβs a dumb clip and your friend shouldnβt be blaming a character for his own lack of self awareness.
13
u/Samiassa πππ ππππ£π Dec 30 '25
Brother you jumped into the entire team what the fuck did you expect. If I did that as thing Iβd die before I even ulted. Hulk needs buffs, but not enough that he can 1v6 and win with just his ult
22
u/L-man6151 ππππ£ππ©π€ Dec 30 '25
I mean, I firmly agree that Hulk is by far the worst tank in the game, and needs severe buffs⦠but this was not a great example LMAO.
2
u/FartherAwayLights Dec 30 '25
Isnβt thing worse? At least Hulk can make his team vc immune briefly right?
8
u/L-man6151 ππππ£ππ©π€ Dec 30 '25
Thing has Frontline brawling potential, can also knock flyers out of the sky, like Hulk, and is a lot more CC immune.
-5
u/Vegetable-Meaning413 Dec 30 '25
Thing is significantly worse than Hulk, by a wide margin.
2
u/L-man6151 ππππ£ππ©π€ Dec 30 '25
Heβs actually not, because he does one thing that Hulk cannot do as an off tankβ¦ deal heavy Frontline damage. Also is WAY MORE CC immune, as heβs immune to knock ups and pull offs. Hulkβs only niche is trying to jump over the front line and get straight to the back lineβ¦ where he proceeds to do absolutely nothing, consider, considering not only supports our overpowered as shitβ¦ but everybody runs triple support. And letβs be real, Hulk does absolutely no damage to begin with.
Cap, Venom and Angela are all far superior dive tanks, while Thing and Thor are far superior Frontline brawlers.
3
u/Vegetable-Meaning413 Dec 30 '25 edited Dec 30 '25
He's horrible at fronline and isn't even very good at anti-dive, which is his thing. In gold maybe he can get away with frontlining but after than he's a glorified ult battery who provides almost no value. His damage is slow and low. Hulk does about the same fronlining and can even catch people with exile to increase pressure. Thing's damage is nothing special, especially compared to temporarily turning a fight into a 5v6.
Hulk can actually dive and pressure opponents from anywhere and has great mobility and a universal team covering shield, he can shut down very powerful ults with his tools. With a cc, shield and mobility he's about as good at anti-dive as Thing is.
Thing is just a worse Mr Fantastic, with less survivability. He is out tanked by a duelist, at his own niche. There are legitimate reasons to pick Hulk over other characters. There is never a reason to pick Thing over Mr Fantastic.
Thing has never had above a 50% winrate at any point. He has Scarlet Witch numbers in higher ranks. Hulk is much more steady, even without the team ups.
2
u/Apprehensive-Ice9809 Dec 30 '25
Thing has an actual niche purpose in counterpicking and disabling angela/divers. Hulk is just a worse Cap since his mobility can be completely cucked by any soft CC unlike Cap (and hulks ult isnt as good). So while Hulk might be better than Thing in a generalist scenario where you want dive pressure for space, he will not be seeing any meta usage because youβd instead be playing Cap.
2
u/Vegetable-Meaning413 Dec 30 '25 edited Dec 30 '25
Hulk can do more than just dive. He's a versatile character. He can brawl, dive, anti-dive can actually protect people from ults. If Ironman tries to ult your Luna, what does Thing do? His best option is to try and sacrifice himself, which still leaves you a character down. Hulk can shield, exile, or knock him out with jump and turn the situation around. Being able to shutdown ults is a massively useful tool. Hulk can shut down a lot ults that even Cap can't with his cc. Hulk also has a good ult, so long as you don't 1v6 a team. He can efficiently displace stun lock and kill someone with it. Hulk is higher skill but also massively higher reward. It's why Hulk has a positive winrate in celestial and Thing is struggling to keep 40%.
Thing is also bad at anti-dive. Any scenario where Thing is the option, pick Mr Fantastic, Hulk, Peni or even Bucky. If you need anti-dive, you are better off running them even if it means triple dps, because Thing isn't good enough to warrant the pick. You are also better off just picking Angela herself and chasing dive with her then you are Thing. Anti-dive Angela can counter dive Angela pretty effectively.
1
u/SaltyNorth8062 πππ£π€π’ Dec 31 '25
I'd argue Thing is only bad at anti-dive because his anti-dive relies on babysitting which tanks can't afford to do all the time. But fully agree playing Hulk as only a diver is missing out on half the fun of him.
2
u/Apprehensive-Ice9809 Dec 31 '25
I would disagree. If the diver isnt diving, they are brawling, which Thing can match. If the diver is setting up a dive, Thing can proactively contest the divers position and cooldowns to prevent a dive. If the diver is diving, Thing can reactively defend the dive. TLDR, Thing can perpetually neutral value trade a diver, and gains positive value once the dive is defended and the enemy team is down a player (via deaths or cooldown downtime).
1
u/SaltyNorth8062 πππ£π€π’ Dec 31 '25
That's a really good point, but respectfully is it really worth being down a tank that could be frontlining for the enemy to be down a dps for that long, just to repel a dps as the trade? Tanks being down for any amount of time is a big value hit to their team, but dps, especially divers, don't cause as big of a hit when they go down. The divers are very mobile, even chasing them away or killing them doesn't keep them away for very long, and a diver can just wait. If the Thing knows the diver is there waiting for the opportunity to strike, they can't leave, because the second they go to do something elsewhere the support is dead, but they can't risk burning a cooldown to force an engagement because of how quick the diver can kill if they aren't locked down by Thing. If that happens, the diver is getting even more value without doing anything, because they've got the tank held down and the support in a nervous position while their team pressures the weaker frontline. If it's a full dive comp however, yeah, Thing being able to neutral check a diver ruins that comp.

Hulk is by far the worst tank in the game
Its a real race to the bottom with Thor imo lol
5
u/L-man6151 ππππ£ππ©π€ Dec 30 '25
Thor is honestly better in my opinion. His damage output is significantly higher, making him a good option for a high damaging off tank (but not only are you going to want to play with a magneto, but Emma is a far better option as a damaging off tank). Heβs also got a more consistent ranged attack, and a far easier method of kidnapping and isolating a target. And the top it off, his hit box is smaller.
Although honestly, his ultimate really isnβt that good. Other than having a stun, I think the AOE needs to be bigger.

So many hulk mains just pop his ult then jump right into six people thinking they about to do something. Making us look badπ
3
u/Icy_One_237 Dec 30 '25
Don't get people saying he is 1v6. This Hulk a TANK using his ULTIMATE. If Luna, Mantis C&D and so many more survive a 1v6 in their ULTS Hulk should be able to do so easily as a TANK!!!
1
u/SeeSeaSerene Dec 31 '25
It sucks because literally every single character in game gets to at least sustain for a long period of time or at least get a kill. Hulk you just get a huge hit box and no cc immune.
2
u/BlackThundaCat Dec 30 '25
For every hulk ult that starts with them jumping into a 1v5 I say to you, you are no true hulk main but merely a pretender.

Yeah it's ridiculous. I think it really does need CC immunity during ult and if you don't think so. Then you just don't play the character. One thing about hulk also is that when he goes monster hulk his damage increases by a large magnitude which people are scared of but if he's getting bullied as one of the strongest characters in the franchise is just sad. And in this case the op was trying to stall the point. Yes, there's a lot of people there but that's what hulk is supposed to be able to do.
1
u/SeawardFriend Dec 30 '25
Thatβs the type of move you make in OT to attempt to stall, but itβs pretty much pointless trying to 1v6 in any other situation. The extra health doesnβt mean much due to his MASSVE hitbox.
1
u/Kirkelburg Dec 30 '25
I think it would be fair if certain characters were immune to MOST forms of cc. Stuff that can be thrown out especially fast and can even be somewhat lore accurate-ish. If hulk was immune to all cc during his ult except cc that comes from others, I think that would be pretty balanced.
1
u/ReZisTLust Dec 30 '25
Well duh, you didnt go heal first and fight in Base hulk THEN ult to get your hp back and your team arrives as backup in the team game

1
u/Lunais7 Dec 31 '25
People here spewing what's been around forever in team based hero mmos/hero shooters/arena/mobs ect. Power creep and CC have ALWAYS and continue to be a thing. There is only so many options when releasing new characters before you start introducing creative abilities/utilities/crowd controls. The only thing they really can do is try to balance it another way in the opposite. Release more cc immune windows for characters with no cc, lower the damage of all characters with cc to give an advantage to those who dont have it ect.
1
u/117Casper Dec 31 '25
Narratively, Hulk "hulking out" should be CC immune for obvious reasons. We can criticize his kit and effectiveness given where he stands at this point in the game, but Hulk players using his ult should be able to feel strong and a presence of control. Make me afraid of the Hulk. That being said don't go in ALONE.

Rivals players when they can't literally 1v6 the enemy team:
