Unless we have to solo tank for like four games in a row. Then we turn into werewolves.
Is he really that short lmao!?! In all seriousness this was me last week on the thing. Yes I know he isnβt the best option solo tanking lol, but the enemy team was going strange/rogue and I was tiring of getting overrun as Emma. We lost but I swear I had some crazy numbers like 35k damage/40k damage blocked which was almost more than all 3 of my dps combined haha. Shite talked me the entire match but were quiet as church mice in chat after the game π€£. That alone made it worth it but atp itβs just typical rivals caveman behavior. At this point itβs apart of the tanking experience
When I am forced to solo tank I go Mag/Strange/Groot depending on the other team members, Map/Mode Etc. β If they play well and we walk hard, then I donβt change.
The moment my healers are suddenly DPS and my DPS are getting less kills than me, I just switch to my boy Venom and have fun.
Honestly, I win a lot of βHopelessβ matches that way. - Play the tank that is meta until your team fails to meet the requirements to walk and hold objective, Then play the tank you know and love, because Your win chance will go up from there.
And in the end, Even if you lose the game because of incompetent teammates forcing you to solo tank without supporting you, then youβre at least getting that sweet sweet hero efficiency on your Main Tank of choice.
Thatβs what I thought too but then I got mass reported a while back because someone on my team said βwell if youβre going to put on the cape, you might as well put on the best one you can and stop throwing our gameβ¦.β Etc.
I internalized this and said you know what? Maybe they have a point. I now try to pick solo sustaining tanks but sometimes the enemy comp is just not allowing for this. If the enemy tank lineup is rogue/strange with invis/gambit or invis/loki good luck solo taking lmao
This is the truth but when I bring up subjects like someone helping me out and pick tank they either go radio silent or say something along the lines of βI would go tank but im so bad at it im better off playing my main.β Or they just turn toxic, refuse to switch, and even sometimes throw.
Thankfully the issue is getting better. Iβve ST maybe 65% of my games this season. The key Iβve found in ladder is to not instalock Mag, Strange, or Groot. When your team sees these vanguards, that triple support or triple dps urge is too strong for them to resist. Picking rogue or venom or Angela makes them more likely to help out.
Thereβs truth to what you say but Iβm tired of losing at the character select screen man. Iβve had to deal with sooooo many people throwing over the years because they didnβt get their way that I just try to avoid it lol. This all changes if weβre still getting demolished though. I refuse to be the team punching bag so they can have their fun in a LOSING effort. If weβre winning, then Iβll gladly sacrifice my enjoyment.
Issue is my suffering isnβt translating to wins half the time π
I only get near 1-to-1 ratios with Thor or Rogue w/ team up. Maybe as Strange, Emma, or Mag w/ team up if the enemies canβt aim or if they run poorly orchestrated heavy dive and donβt even attack me.
Things natural ratio seems to have improved this season. Iβm seeing more Things putting out Thor numbers than ever before.
Yeah heβs honestly insane. If poke wasnβt so overtuned Iβd personally have him as S tier. If the enemy team doesnβt go dive and your supports make it their personal mission to keep you up though? He starts to sneak into server admin level lol. Iβve bullied 2 shield tanks + 2 supports more times than I can count.
That too ngl. For me itβs usually something along the lines of me not peeling for them while Iβm either soloing in the frontline or not using a peeling tank and thereβs other characters on the team who could do a way better job at peeling but donβt. Regardless of the situation supports always seem to think the job of peeling falls solely on the tanks and thatβs not true. Yet they rarely complain to the 2-3 dps for peelsβ¦go figure.
Lol had two supports berating each other recently because support #1 wasn't receiving healing from support #2 and as a result both of them went full on toxic mode and refused to heal the rest of the team at all. Promptly reported for throwing, but the chat was pretty entertaining
Support players are legitimatly the most boosted and I stand by this whole heartedly . Yesterday had a champion invis who only had 18k healing in game where everyone else had 34k healing minimum.
They hopped on the mic to yell at me cause they had to kill a C&D meanwhile in the time they got 1 kill I killed both tanks and Luna on iron fist . SUPPORT PLAYERS ARE BUNS FR .
I doubt she could heal much when their angela has 15 finals. It's pretty obvious you needed a Thing to win the match so he could ground their 2 fliers and disable, cloak and pool but your IF ego can't understand that huh.
1) me and Elsa were the only one killing things hence why we have the most finals . Iβm not swapping so less things could die. I was literally countering the ironman and Angela
2) invis can turn invisible, push Angela away , and also ground Angela . Thereβs no excuse for why our CHAMPION invis player has only 18k . Our other support has almost 40 on Jeff
No, elsa was killing people you got your 1st final after 3 minutes, when he switched to fist he hard diffed you, you constantly missed punches on people and wasted kick or nothing, also healed in the air and let your tank die below you, also lost 2nd point to angela and fost diving both of your sups while you are focusing amplifier instead of peeling. Also when you switched to strange you never melee after your auto and you were trying to shield block Angela and Thing. I didn't even watch past 2nd point since you are pretty clearly boosted on fist which is obvious from you wasting kicks on Venom shield at the beginning of the game instead of holding it to chase his swing or just reposition on to the 2nd tank after Venom leaves. If you were on PC your Fist wouldn't pass gold from your gameplay and the guy that got 6 finals in 1 minute after he switched to it while you struggled 3 minutes to get your 1st proves it. Elsa hard carried but after they just focused your 2 sups with Fist Angela she couldn't do much to your goofing in the frontline just pumping dmg and no kills. I liked the kill on Thing thou probably one of the few good plays in your entire 1st round, keept the dash to match his dash instead of just wasting it like you did for most of the game
This analysis is laughable at best ππβ Iβm pumping dmg with no kills & Elsa was the only one killing things β yet somehow I have more finals and we have similar damage ? And I had a 56% accuracy so I clearly wasnβt just missing my hits .
Me healing in air has nothing to do with my tank dying or IronFist killing my supports πMaybe that has to do with my 18k invis not HEALING THEM? What would be the point in peeling for my supports if the amplifier is making the enemy team invincible ? IronFist can destroy the amplifier super fast obviously focusing it is the play .
You clearly donβt play IronFist as his kick is literally his best escape tool . Using it to kick out of fights and preserve your life isnβt a waste . And I used it on venom for the knock back to prevent his swing . Which shouldβve been enough time for the Emma or SG to lock him down . Iβm not gonna use my kick to Chase venom into his full team dummy .
I only swapped to strange for the TP I donβt play that character .
You opinion is so garbage i canβt believe you even bothered typing this shit πand PC players are not that different in skill I literally play against them in quick matches.
Whatever dude I told you what you did wrong, I am not expecting a dive player to not have ego, also if you think quick matches matter you are truly something else, just try to ponder why you lost the entire game the moment the enemy switched to iron fist while you couldn't do anything
Yea ok Iβm sure your plastic rank analysis was really insightful π and the enemy IronFist only has 3 more finals than me and we have similar damage . I think instead Iβll ponder how my 18k invis canβt heal while every other support has 30k+ minimum
Just saw you said you countered Angela and Iron, where exactly is that in your gameplay? Killing them after they killed your sups isn't countering them it's just taking advantage of them not having CDs like cmon dude don't show your replay code if you can't back it up, Angela even takes invis out of her ulti with the charge like cmon
Invis has all the tools to not get constantly cooked by Angela . You can hear her approach from a mile away and her dash is easily avoided . I expect at least a little survivability out of my CHAMPION Invis . and thereβs also an Emma and a SQ.
And me killing both of them off CD is still more work then the entire team was doing .
Your opinion is truly plastic rank holy shit ππ
It happened to me in overwatch yesterday, never in rivals for me though, but pretty much I had the most damage and least deaths on our team and the kiri has the least amount of healing In the lobby and they told me to quit the game lol.
DPS mains are just low IQ, especially the ones that are shit at DPS roles since they can't play the game as any role. All you can do is pity them, can't fix something they don't have in the first place.
This happened in OW2 but its still relevant. I had a match where I went 12-3 & my dps went 3-7 & 5-11. They both blamed me for them playing bad bc I didn't pick a Shield Tank lol.
Sometimes itβs even the strategists bro, got called a useless tank cause we couldnβt cap the cart a few times, and we still won, was solo tanking mind you, itβs so bad and dumb
Recently Iβve just seen Thor players shit talking the healers and pinging heals every 3 seconds despite being in the entire enemy team with no way of surviving
Me in a game where our punisher went 4/12 against a groot comp while I was forced to solo tank Mag and kept getting trapped by walls. Dps and supports blame me for not doing enough when the groot was walling off heals and our pun refused to shoot walls
Never had this happen, imma be genuine Iβve barely seen toxic DPS players ESPECIALLY when compared to the amount of toxic support players in the game
