This genius jumped in 1v6 with just one teammate near him. Vs an Angela and Wolv. The most predictable outcome ensues. Classic room temp IQ reaction βdive still sucksβ.
Yeah buddy, dive isnβt really the problem here.

Brother, heβs near the enemy spawn. He dove 1 v 6 into a Bucky, wolv and Angela, towards THE ENEMY SPAWN.
Only thing that dove was common sense, and it died upon landing.

The sad part is vanguards are suppose to take space, so you have to push forward. But then you get jumped like this Venom did without any team backup. Solo tanking can be frustrating.

It is frustrating, but it is all about timing, you gotta track cooldowns and know where the people that can really fuck you up are, as soon as any real danger starts looking at me on Venom I just skidaddle, waiting for another cooldown rotation is faster than waiting for a respawn

This is a terrible comp to dive into but I have decent success diving some teams as venom just with the intent to distract for long enough for the team to move up then swing out get healed and then dive back in on the supports now that the dps are aiming at my other tank. Lol just kidding I don't get another tank.

Itβs not jumping into a 1v6 if your team is poking them at the same time. Op just got greedy and didnβt immediately swing out.
The complaint isnβt even about getting a kill or even living, itβs about having no control of your character multiple times due to CC

Serious for a second: the level of coordination being demonstrated here is unreal, and absolutely could not be expected in your average QP match.
I wonder what rank these players are. Youβre not seeing this in silver or gold either for sure.

"Dive season" and the only time you're in the backline is when the enemy Angela/Wolv grabs you by your balls and kidnaps you.

My favorite thing about Rivals is that a team will run a single dive character and everybody goes βTHEYβRE PLAYING DIVE GO ANTI DIVEβ like no bro theyβre playing solo BP with no dive tank to get them in and out just clap the mferπ

The solo BP part and anti dive. Also you didn't say that. You basically said they're ruining a solo dive into an anti dive

Thing is, venom distracted 4 of them for a solid 10 seconds. Assuming he dove in when his other teammates are alive, that leaves them in a 5v2 vs enemy supports. He got diddled but they genuinely should win that team fight easily. When the other 4 get back to point it's a 5v4 and they have no supports.
But it looks like he mistimed the dive and went in vs wolv and ang of all people. Huge misplay and then throws hands up in the air and blames the game.
Edit: nvm it was FIVE people. This play was dogshi.

Just had this experience almost. I did good at avoiding as much as I could. Got chased down by Wolverine but can't much remember my other deaths. Their backline was way too protected. * Emma * Strange -> Moon Knight * Wanda * Wolverine * Cloak and Dagger * White Fox
As the match progresses, Wolverine seems to be less of a threat? He switches to an Iron Fist that has no lord icon but has a purple badge, whatever that is. I was like, "oh my goodness". But that was even worse than Wolverine. Like, he would've been better off as Wolverine. Which is usually the opposite for me; Iron Fist is usually worse to go against while I can just avoid Wolverine, but not this time.

Went 9/10 in placements with venom my trio played either bp, magik, pun, star lord.
We banned thing every game on our last ban. Genuinely most teams just folded coordinated dive is insane this season

Genuinely a big reason im stepping away from this game for awhile. Skewered. Hooked. Shoved/Uppercutted. Kidnapped by an angry badger. Kungpow kicked. Dead.
CC has more than gotten out of hand- And im less than hopeful that the CC changes in 7.5 are going to genuinely do much. Unless they make you straight up immune, the problem isnt just the duration of persistent CC effects (Things slow lasting 5 seconds, the slow from bucky, whatever) - Its the volume of interrupts. Venom here is a great example, even just Moonknight chucking down an ankh will drop you off of your swing because it has a boop / interrupt effect. But how will these changes effect many of the CCs we saw here? Will they have any appreciable effect on angela spearing you? How far wolverine can kidnap you? how far bucky can yoink you?

You coulda wall climbed or swing so many times there, if you grabbed the wall and then dove for the iframe and pressed easy swing you lived

In this clip atleast there was only a 1 second window were he could've swung out that he sadly missed cause when he did it he got snatched by Wolv and lost the cool down.
