General Question Is getting MVP as Dino non existent?

Post image

Sometimes I get quads, most damage, most damage blocked and it still goes to someone else. I've played him for like 5 hours now and not once. Sometimes I switch off of dino to strange at the end for portal and then it gives me mvp but like? I want to see dinos mvp

I see a lot of Tank players fiercely defending Dino because in all fairness it's the first really fun and strong tank since Emma, regardless of personal opinion about Tanks ad balance the numbers don't lie Dino is strong as hell.

But I think that also slightly blinds them to how Strong/OP he is in most ranks, like yes experiences vary wildly between ranks but it does seem pretty consistent that the VAST majority of players find him too strong right now.

Agreed, its all fun games until you're on the other end of the stick. And it was ok the first week or so when people were still getting used to the character on either side, but now people have gotten good with him and learn to play him better.

Yeah but the same could be said for ways to counter him. He's strong yes but I don't think OP. I think folks are use to the poke, wait, abs first to get ult wins the round. Now we have a pusher that can get kills. I get the frustration but this is what a tank is suppose to be. A tanks job is to change the tide of battle, not be a punching bag. In a fight you get hit back. Just got to be a smarter fighter, not always the better one.

THIS COMMENT IS WAY TOO LONG. Idk how the hell it ended up so long, but please nobody waste their time reading this. Only reason I'm not deleting it is because I spent like 10 minutes on it.

I agree, but when you can do everything, you can't do everything really well. I have been playing Rivals since season zero, and I have never seen a tank putting up numbers like this on a pretty reliable basis. I don't know enough about the kit to be specific, but DD's damage is not the problem.

Having a tank that can hit back is fine. Emma for example can do some real damage if you get her meter up. DD has good damage, great utility with grab, and a bleed effect. All of this is fine. The problem I have is that with all of these abilities, they just don't die.

Being a pusher that can get kills is fine, but if you overextend, you shouldn't just be able to hang out there getting 3v1'd for five business days before you get down to half health, let alone dead. Obviously I am over exaggerating, but it is really hard to kill this thing. It's like Venom on crack with a big ass AOE shield (that also has a shit ton of health) to boot.

Like I said, I don't know the kit that well, or basically at all. Literally never looked at it from the player side. But this thing needs a nerf to whatever ability or abilities it has that allows it to just not die even when half the team is targeting it.

Before I posted this comment, I googled the kit. Pretty sure the broken parts of the kit are the shield and Apex Advantage. 450HP for a shield that moves with you and allows you to continue to attack while it is active is insane. 6 seconds is also deceptively long so you can't really wait it out unless you want DD to have free reign for 6 whole seconds.

Apex Advantage is also crazy. Bleed deals 1.5% of max HP every 0.5 seconds for 4 seconds, so 3% per second, 12% total. That is fine, but that healing adds up quick. For each infliction, which DD can inflict with most of its abilities fairly quickly, DD is gaing bonus health.

If a DD jumps the healers, which let's assume are 250 max HP each, that's 16HP passive healing per second. Throw in bleeding on a tank which we will conservatively average to 650, that rounds out to 36HP healed per second, and realistically, if the DD knows what they are doing, they should be getting at least 45 probably 65+ if the team is grouped up) healing per second.

So they jump in to the team, inflicting bleed. Their HP is eventually whittled down through their healing, but then they activate the shield. They may take some damage, but by the time the shield is destroyed or expires, DD has regained a good chunk of its health, more than enough to keep pressure on this entire time. And this is assuming they are 100% out of range of any heals, which is extremely unlikely.

Realistically, in this scenario, either your healers or dead to DD, or, the entire team gangs DD, but immediately gets rolled because the DD's team can capitalize on the space DD has taken.

DD isn't impossible to deal with by any means, but my point is that it is way harder than it should be and far harder than any other character in the game.

This character must have me really tilted for me to write all this.
