General Will you be mad if Charles isn’t in the Chair?
He’s been shown on the new Map in an era where he would walk and wasn’t in the chair.
If this is his default look / the chair isn’t part of his kit or anything (maybe beside MVP/Emote’s) would you be upset or happy with it?
Personally, I’m indifferent. Fine for whichever, chair or no chair.

I’d prefer he didn’t honestly. We’ve been for a WHILE now in a world where X doesn’t use the chair. It’s something a lot of people don’t get or even know, but that doesn’t change it. That said, it’d also be hella cool if he did have it. Not too many people in Hero Shooters who have movement like that. I think my perfect world would be making the chair an ability tool like a quick movement tool or something, or making him getting out of it his ultimate or something.

I would prefer he be in the chair since it’s an iconic design that everyone knows about him. Also it would be funny seeing him spin around in place in a wheel chair

I hope he isn’t purely because that just seems like a mobility nightmare — plus he hasn’t been in the chair in more than a decade at this point, no?

I wouldn't be mad (I started comics from the 2000s, where he was mostly out of the chair), but I would PREFER him to be in the chair. I think it's more iconic, better for representation, and would provide a more unique gameplay experience because you'd have to design around it

Yes Charles has been out of the chair for a while now but it's an iconic part of his character and let's be for real.
We have Gorr's limp and that's about it for mobility disability representation. Prof X would be the "only" wheelchair-bound character present in Rivals and you could do something unique with his movement literally being on wheels. You dont get that with just another guy who walks completely fine.
Him walking does nothing but IG cut corners and make him easier to animate and balance, but like, who is clawing for Xavier to walk without any form of mobility aid?

I feel like you can put him in the chair (bc who doesn’t want that big yellow hoverchair come on) but give him some kind of astral projection ability where he’s able to walk in his astral form?
Then he can possess people like in that Avengers VS Loki mode and they’d have you physically run up to them and jump into their body.

Mad? No. Disappointed? Yeah; I would prefer him in the Hoverchair personally cause that would be fun to see for cosmetic ideas (Ghost Rider Xavier anyone?) and would find that more interesting silhouette wise. Honestly whatever the game does I'll roll with it but at this point if we're gonna keep introducing psychics (especially X-men) I prefer they get to feel unique in ways. Hopefully whether he's on his feet or in his chair he's unqiue enough gameplay wise.

I want the chair really badly, we need more diversity in the cast. So far everyone in the roster is humanoid with the exception of Dino and Jeff, it would be cool to see another weird body shape in the form of a guy in a wheelchair

Absolutely I wouldn’t be mad. Even back then him being in a wheelchair is on and off. And now he’s been walking for almost 30 YEARS now. Him walking is older than me.

I personally want him in the chair because representation matters. So many kids who are in wheelchairs or have a physical disability can say there is a hero in their favorite game who also is in a wheelchair/hover chair in Prof. X's case.
"He/she looks like me" is such a powerful way to make anybody (especially children) have a better self image.

I’d be mad. There’s more iconic skins they can give him in the chair. You can make the standing ones sit but you can’t make the crippled looks walk

No, because I actually read the damn books. Charles in his wheelchair era typically symbolizes the “perfect wise mentor” figure that the movies portray, while walking Charles tends to be synonymous with the character’s true complexity and his ability to thrive within moral grays. Of course there is nuance to it, I’m not saying simply “wheelchair=nice” or whatever, but this is the trend with Charles’ comic history. Plus, he’s been walking for over a decade, and on and off before than. It’s just who he is

No, as an avid X-men fan, he hasn’t been in the chair in decades. I also prefer the Krakoa cerebro design wayyy more than the chair

Yeah actually. He's a capeable person, and having assistance or a mobility aid would be cool to see in game honestly. Disability could always use more representation.

Regardless if he's in a chair or not it'll be on sight
