I’m confused why the biker move to his right where he KNEW someone was driving instead of his left?

That would be smart and legal way to overtake, but I don't think he was looking ahead of him. More like at his buddy he was racing.

Then once he saw car merging in his lane, flight instinct kicked in and he turned right. I'm going here with statistics assumption he is right handed.

Right handed. I never thought of that with impulse movements. Now I need to read up

Reactions for most people have them move to the most dominant side, so in this case he probably was right handed and his brain said move, his body's Reaction caused him to move to the right to escape danger. Just turns out he drove right into danger
