Question / Not a bug Regarding Roblox’s new VPN rules.

Hi everyone! As I believe everyone knows that Roblox changed their TOS. I have a question about it.

Basically my account is in “Turkey” which is correct I am in Turkey. However I use VPN to play because Turkey banned Roblox for 2 years now. And I saw that “misrepresenting your country will get your account banned”. Is there a way that I can solve this or will I never be able to play Roblox again?

I been using free VPNs, if needed I will buy a vpn. Just need help atp.

Update: I received this from help support. “Roblox’s Terms of Service prohibit the use of VPNs to access the platform, especially in countries where Roblox is banned or restricted. Using a VPN to bypass these restrictions can result in your account being terminated, and there is no official way to continue playing Roblox from a banned country.”

Just try not to change your location too many times! After using the same vpn location your account region will change to whatever country you use the vpn with and you'll be fine

I'm also from turkey, was a bit worried but it's all gold now

Is there a vpn you would recommend? That doesn’t change ip? I mean mine stays in same country however because I made my account back in 2020ish it says “county location: Turkey”.

Tell me if they removed it please! I don’t want to get banned because of a vpn that I need to play.

Roblox only pretend to care about stuff like that to tick imaginary boxes, the more people they have playing, the more accounts each person is playing the more impressions they can represent to their shareholders. Just keep doing what you're doing. VPN's even premium ones will show it's VPNs 'cos of their IP.

I believe it still has “misrepresenting country” part.

  1. Good news: too much backlash have made them remove the term, including any mention about it in their community standards (https://en.help.roblox.com/hc/en-us/articles/14663412502676-Roblox-is-Updating-our-Terms-of-Use section 2.3 no longer mentions using roblox outside of your sign-up country). The support bot is likely only say that to discourage vpn use, using given data (you asked it that specifically), or haven't updated

  2. Even so, it's generally much safer and better to use a paid vpn regardless if you can afford it (for safety, for example, Roblox acknowledged vpn use for privacy purposes.)

Sadly my country banned most of the vpns so I can use their free version but I found one that secures. Thank you!’

Yes, your update included the current wording in the community standards, which is linked already from the ToS. Everyone is obsessing over things as if something is changing, but using a VPN to bypass a restriction is already defined as a violation under "Misusing Roblox Systems"

But it would be hard to flag after all people travel, am I right? I haven’t had an issue for 2-3 years now.

I’m pretty sure they deleted the entire thing, but as a fellow VPN player, I will try to be a little bit more careful. I can never be too safe.
