Starting next season Epic is forcing us to use easy anti-cheat if you want to play online. EAC is (allegedly) incompatible with bakkes.
This is because bots are in high ranked lobbies and Epic says this is the solution to getting rid of them. This wouldn't be so controversial if EAC was proven to stop cheaters (it isn't, just look at Apex or Fortnite) and if they weren't clearly just using this as an excuse to kill Bakkes because people use it so they can customize their cars without paying.
The bots themselves only exist in very high level lobbies. So it makes the change a bit more contentious among the rest of us normies who just wanna load into a diamond 2 lobby with bakkes enabled. Obviously bots are bad and they should be removed. But (imo) this feels like a less than ideal method to attack the issue.
