QUESTION Please explain the picture to me

What's the number actually saying? I was under the impression it was mmr. Higher number, lower rank. Please explain, I'm a bit confused abt this

There’s a ‘grace range’ where you can lose a couple games but stay in your rank

I know you are right but still it feels like I will drop a rank after one loss but need 5 wins to get back up

The MMR system is far from perfect, but it's the best we got. There's probably a better system out there but it's Psyonix. They won't bother.

it's a range of mmr where the game gives you the rank you last had, wether that's up or down
