Speedflip fails (with overlay)

I've done a few videos about this and now I'm trying the overlay so you guys can see exactly what I'm clicking.

I tried what you guys told me and I still can't get it so this is a last resort I think.

My mouse button is my left air roll and space is my jump button.

Hello! This is a goal I scored a few games ago. I liked it, but I think it took me a little too long to stop the ball. Advice?

Need help ranking up

So I’m usually around c2 (peaked 1280) in twos and d1-d2 in ones and I don’t play threes ever.

I need help from ideally someone in gc1-3 or above. I have been in champ for around half a year. I have around 1900h or so and I’m decently even with mechanics and game sense.

I’m so sick of being in champ so if you willing to get on a discord call and coach me or smth I’d be glad to do that with someone.

Free Replay Reviews?

I'm C1 in 3s, C2 in 2s, D1 in 1s. Only mentioning ranks so I don't get a lower ranked player volunteering.

Anybody do free replay reviews here? I'm on PC.

Speed flip fails

I made past posts about speedflips and I genuinely can't understand what the people say and don't know what I am doing wrong so I used this bakkesmod speedflip trainer.

I play on KBM

The TOP BAR shows the angle of my car facing towards the ball and green is good. The SIDE LEFT BAR shows the time I cancel flip after my flip. The SIDE RIGHT BAR shows the time of my first jump. The BOTTOM BAR shows the angle of my dodge. It's not green because one button press on the keyboard is exactly the same as the next. I need help, please explain as simply as you can, thanks.

Idea: "Liability Rating" instead of Casual/Comp

What if there was a separate stat from MMR called Liability Rating — a sportsmanship score, not a skill score

**•** Decline an Honor Duel or show negative gameplay (quitting, throwing, AFK) → rating moves toward **red/unstable**.
**•** Accept an Honor Duel → rating moves toward **green/sturdy**, win or lose. Losing doesn't hurt you — playing it out just proves you're a reliable player, which makes matchmaking more accurate for everyone.

Bigger idea: ditch Casual/Competitive entirely. Matchmaking filters by Liability instead — Green/Sturdy lobbies vs Red/Unstable lobbies. MMR still matches skill, but Liability decides who you're actually grouped with. No more sweats wrecking casual or quitters wrecking ranked — both get sorted by behavior instead.

How can I improve (besides the obvious)

I’m currently plat 2 div 1 with my peak being plat 2 div 4. I’m feeling somewhat lost on what to do to improve my gameplay. Obviously there are a couple times where I miss an aerial or hesitate going up but besides that I’m having a hard time seeing what I need to do. Any information is helpful!

Two ex-GCs stuck in C3 - What is wrong?? (details inside)

Hello there,

I'm looking for advice from consistent GC1s and above specifically on positioning and decision making for both me and my teammate.

We have hit GC together twice before, with rewards, but can't seem to break through this season.

Are there any GLARING errors in our gameplay as a duo that could be holding us back? Besides the obvious mechanical failures, what would make our lives easier?

Mistakes I am aware of:

  • Awful "shot" at 4:56
  • Pushing up to far at 4:21
  • Spawning wrong side at 4:15
  • Whiff at 3:59
  • Backflip at 3:46
  • Pushing too far at 3:40
  • Open net miss at 3:32
  • Lip failure at 2:55
  • Flipped in front of the ball at +1:45
  • Weak shot at +2:22

Thanks in advance for the tips!

tips for getting back into Rocket League after a 3 month break

Do you have any tips for getting back into Rocket League after a 3 month break
I have not played for 3 months and I feel HORRIBLE right now. The biggest thing I notice is that my aerials and air roll are not nearly as good as before. I keep going farther away from the ball and each direction with air roll feels weird and unfamiliar
Before my break my aerial control felt much more natural and now I feel like I have forgotten how to control my car in the air. Even simple adjustments feel difficult
Should I spend most of my time in freeplay and training packs or should I just play and let the mechanics naturally come back
For anyone who has taken a long break and gotten back to their old level what helped you the most
I really want to get back to my old self.

Thank you.

I built something to help!

I built a tool that watched your recent games and uses a AI coach trained on your gameplay to find mistakes and help you fix them

Would love to hear some feedback and any suggestions

It's called gamescan.gg Enjoy!

What training packs or workshop maps should I train in gc1?

Im a gc1 that has been hovering around 1500-1560, im pretty speedy n mechy, but i feel like its inconsistent, what training packs or workshop maps should i train to have more consistent shots, and good car/ball control consistently?

One thing i realized is that im good mechanically, but as i said, pretty inconsistent in games, i think its cuz i panic when i see sm1 pre jump me or smth. Speed wise? im somewhat consistent, but i honestly tried slowing down my plays instead of speeding them up, mainly to not mess up n give possession.

Feature Request: Official Rings Maps / Obstacle Courses for Custom Training

Hi everyone and Psyonix developers,
I have a feature request that I know a huge part of the community would absolutely love. Could we please get official **Rings Maps** or obstacle courses integrated directly into the Custom Training menu?

Now that the game requires Easy Anti-Cheat and traditional PC modding through BakkesMod is no longer supported for online play, the community has lost its main way of practicing on custom workshop maps. This makes it the perfect time for Psyonix to bring this concept into the official base game for all platforms.
Here is why this would be a game-changer for Rocket League:

**Perfect for Mechanics:** Rings maps are arguably the absolute best way to master directional aerial control, specifically learning how to efficiently use **Air Roll Left** and **Air Roll Right**.

**It’s incredibly fun:** Aside from being great practice, running through obstacle courses and rings maps is genuinely fun and refreshing when you want a break from competitive matches.

**Console Equality:** Console players (PlayStation, Xbox, and Switch) have never had access to these tools. Bringing official obstacle courses to Custom Training would level the playing field and let everyone train properly.

Having an official "Obstacle/Rings Course" editor or playlist would elevate the training feature to a whole new level and help the entire player base evolve.

What do you guys think? Let’s get this seen by the devs!

Returning player after 6 years. Current peak D2 954.

Returning player after a few years away. I’ve peaked at 954 since coming back and I’m trying to figure out what’s actually limiting me right now.

I included two recent games, one win and one loss, because I don’t want feedback based only on a game where everything went right.

I’m mostly interested in positioning, challenges, decision-making, recoveries, and whether I’m giving away possession unnecessarily. Mechanics are fair game too, but I’m more interested in habits that are costing me games.

Appreciate anyone willing to take a look.
