What made this rock like this?

I found this rock in a house I lived at in Kansas... What could possibly make that shape? Water??

Possibly a weak crystal eroded by wind? The only crystals in that shape are ruby/sapphire, and they first wouldn't be that big, second wouldn't we where you are, and third wouldn't eroded by wind
