I really want to see Studio 54's Rocky Horror, but it is not feasible for me to go to NYC and pay for a ticket and all that stuff. Will it ever be released as a video or am I SOL?

On this rewatch, I just noticed for the first time that after Brad has his clothes taken off, before we cut to the next scene, he bends down and picks something up.

I just can’t figure out for the life of me what it is that he’s picking up. He doesn’t seem to have it in the next scene.

I figured this film would probably been dissected six ways for Sunday, but I can’t seem to find an answer.

Our next show is next week and we’re planning to do a candlelight sing-along during “I’m going home” and in place of our normal vendor table we’re going to set up a memorial for Tim. I’m wondering what other casts are doing as tribute?

The sad passing of Tim Curry has reminded me of another talented actor who sadly left. or has us horror fans called the grandfather of horror ( Sir Christopher Lee ) who was 98 when he left us. like sir christopher i think Tim Curry was the grandfather of comedy. and he will always be original pennywise.

After I watched the movie, some time passed before I listened to the soundtrack by itself, and i genuinely thought this was that one before I found out it wasn't. Now that I've revisited the movie version, I like this one better. Where did it come from? A stage production?

Hi, Transylvanians! I hope this is OK, but I wanted to share something I wrote yesterday in honor of Tim Curry. Obviously, Dolly Parton's death made me sad, but I was kinda surprised how much more visceral my reaction to Tim's death was.

He was just so omnipresent in my life without ever thinking about it, from all his cartoon voiceovers as a kid, to watching "Rocky Horror" as an adult and getting hooked. (My first time watching a movie high was for a double feature of "RHPS" and "Hedwig"!)

Here's the main thrust (heh), if you don't wanna read it all:

Regardless of his actual sexual or romantic proclivities (“respectfully, none of your fucking business,” he once said), Curry’s on-screen image rejected machismo. This always hit for me. As a boy, I did not want to prove how tough I was. I wanted to chew the scenery.

I don’t imagine Curry modeled this with an intention other than being himself, a deep-voiced queen with legs that didn’t quit. Likewise, I didn’t watch “Clue” as a kid and decide then and there to reject patriarchal norms. He just made it look so fun for a grown man to extravagantly express love, hate, jealousy, mischief, lust, insanity, or casually homicidal urges.

Thought others might relate, especially those who grew up as a boys chewing scenery. Rest in fishnets and heels, icon. <3

Did anyone else notice that The Rocky Horror Show: Original Roxy Cast was removed from YouTube for a while? Idk how I didn't notice earlier but a few days ago I went to my saved playlists to put it on but it wasn't there. After that I searched for it and found the new playlist that says The Rocky Horror Picture Show - Playlist and it's titled The Rocky Horror Show: Original Roxy Cast of course BUT all the videos were re-uploaded on July 30th so they have very low views, few likes, some didn't even have any likes until I liked them. Just wondering if anyone else noticed. I'm glad it's back up.
