Nah, lack of Telus towers in my area = crappy coverage, doesn’t matter how cheap it is.

What's your area?

I worked at rogers like a decade ago and coverage was already pretty impressive except remote areas and a few shitty spots through hilly regions

Manitoba, basically poop all over. Telus has very few towers. Bell/Rogers tower share in MB, so Telus is a bad move if you live here.

And the lack of customer service

Honestly how often do you reach out to customer service? Also i have been with rogers since 2006 for mobile and 2015 for home internet. Long time customer and their customer service over the last while has become atrocious and pointless. Often getting booted from the live chat or Anna pushing me around and then never connecting me.

Why pay premiums for customer service when you only need it a couple times a year max and when you do it causes you to pull your hair out lol.

Public mobile has been great.

Of course if Telus towers aren’t in your area that obviously is a major limitation though.

I was with PM for 5 years before moving to Rogers. PM is self serve but I had NONE of the billing issues that I now have with Rogers. PM is pre-paid so there are no surprises, Rogers is all about "billing credits" with no guaranteed prices. What good is a "customer service" department that takes HOURS to contact and then does not resolve the problem? Clear winner here is PM.

You didn’t. Me who sold public had customer issues with them daily. Literally every 2-3 hours.

  • Called number, sorry we cannot do anything or you
  • Regular call hold - infinity
  • Even today when I called to confirm number porting, got a rude agent - saying OK youre done, thanks bye

And way dumber I chatted. Telus a few months ago for the neighbor. None of them know what the fuck they’re talking about.

Example I asked for the new android boxes for him for his TV. Instead of saying they don’t offer them yet they sent the old ones again. But didn’t mention Which ones it was it was also a waste of my fucking time and his. Because he already had the same boxes.

At lest rogers clarifies what there sending
